Consumers oftentimes say that Samsung, Apple, or Google copy each other, and while that’s true, the Samsung Smart Monitor M80C is a clear example of that. It looks just like the iMac, which saw its most recent design debut in 2021. But the Samsung Smart Monitor M80C is a rather unique monitor to pick up, and it’s all in the name. It’s a “smart” monitor. Today, you can pick it up for just $499. That is not an all-time low, but likely about as low as it’s gonna get until Black Friday in November.

The M80C is a pretty versatile monitor from Samsung. It runs on Tizen OS, which makes it a bit more like a TV than anything else. Because of this, you can stream content directly on the monitor, like Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and so much more. That’s a rather unique feature and not something we’ve seen from other monitors yet.

Additionally, Samsung let’s you do cloud gaming on this monitor. So you can get this and never even plug it into anything other than power. And use it as a gaming console. Which is really cool, and it does support NVIDIA GeForce Now, Amazon Luna, and a few others. Not to mention, there is also support for Bixby and Amazon Alexa, and it even works as a Smart Things hub.

You can certainly get a better monitor for this price, but the real reason to buy the Samsung Smart Monitor M80C is going to be the unique aspect of streaming content and games.
