This year, Apple is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its smartwatches. Rumors say the company will introduce some design innovations with the Apple Watch Series 10, aka Apple Watch X. An early leak gives us an exclusive glimpse into the future of Apple’s wearable technology. CAD renders of the upcoming watch posted by 91Mobiles show what it might look like.

Apple Watch Series 10 or Watch X seen in leaked renders

The images shared by the publication suggest the Apple Watch X will look identical to its predecessor. Everything from the overall design to button placements, including the Digital Crown, is unchanged. Well, rumors never said it would be a radical redesign. However, the latest leak also contradicts some of the previous claims.

The leaked CAD renders allegedly show the larger Apple Watch X. It boasts a 2-inch display, making it the largest screen on any Apple smartwatch ever. The 45mm Apple Watch Series 9 has a 1.9-inch screen, while the display measures 1.93 inches on the 49mm Watch Ultra 2. Despite a bigger screen, the upcoming model is smaller than the Ultra.

According to the new report, it measures 46 x 39.7 x 11.6mm in dimension. The Ultra measures 49 x 44 x 14.4mm, while the bigger Series 9 variant has a dimension of 45 x 38 x 10.7mm. This means the Apple Watch X will be taller, wider, and thicker than the 2023 model, which isn’t what we have heard before. A couple of credible sources said the next-gen model will be thinner.

Moreover, rumors have also hinted at a magnetic band attachment system replacing the sliding mechanism. But the leaked renders don’t show anything as such. On the same note, the bigger Apple Watch X was previously said to be 49mm tall, with the smaller one measuring 45mm. There was no mention of a 46mm variant.

These contradictions could be because Apple is readying two different models—a regular Apple Watch Series 10 and a special edition Apple Watch X to celebrate the tenth anniversary. This is just our speculation, though. We need to wait for more credible reports to settle the confusion. Maybe these renders and reported dimensions are inaccurate.

The next model may bring new health features

Apple’s next smartwatch may not look different from the existing ones, but it could bring more features. Rumors say the company is working on new health features, including blood pressure monitoring. If there will be two different Apple Watch Series 10 or Apple Watch X models, one or both may debut alongside the iPhone 16 series later this year. You can expect more leaks in the coming months.
