The US launch of Honor of Kings is finally here and that means mobile MOBA fans are in for a big treat. Hailed as the world’s most-played mobile MOBA, Honor of Kings is China’s biggest mobile game and it’s easy to see why. Rivaling the quality and enjoyment of games like League of Legends and Riot’s own mobile MOBA, League of Legends: Wild Rift. If Honor of Kings looks a little familiar, that’s because it’s made by the same development studio (TiMi) behind Arena of Valor. An international adaption of Honor of Kings that was launched in the US several years ago.

With the Honor of Kings launch in the US today, it likely won’t be long before the game garners even more popularity. It already has over 10 million downloads with a 4.0 star rating on Google Play. That’s more or less without all of the new launch regions having access. Prior to today’s launch, the game was available in China after releasing in 2015. As well as recent pre-release access in Brazil, Turkey, and a few other countries. As of today, Honor of Kings is also now available in several new regions. Including North America, Japan, Southeast Asia, Korea, Latin America, and Europe.

The Honor of Kings US launch comes with a special bonus

With the release today, there’s one thing new players are going to want to take advantage of. The ability to try out nearly every single hero in the game. For the entire first month, TiMi Studios and Level Infinite are opening up all launch heroes on a trial basis so players can figure out who they like best. This is going to be very instrumental in finding a hero that fits your play style. Mainly because there are so many heroes to choose from.

At current there are 122 heroes in the game, one of which is a new hero called Sun Ce that was recently released. Players will have access to all 85 launch heroes plus Sun Ce. So 86 heroes in total. It isn’t clear if the remaining heroes that are available in the Chinese version of the game are also available in the global launch version. If not, they will likely make their way over at some point.

TiMi is planning several IP collaborations in the next month

Mobile games like this one are big on collaborations, and Honor of Kings has several planned right from the start. This includes collaborations with SNK, Saint Seiya, Hello Kitty, and Bruce Lee. Additionally, TiMi says that 28 of the launch heroes will be available to unlock in-game just by completing various activities. Additionally, players can unlock 21 different skins for free too. Honor of Kings is available for both Android and iOS devices.
