Amazon has finally confirmed the dates for Prime Day 2024, which is happening July 16 and July 17. That’s a week later than usual, but still in July. Prime Day will offer Prime Members some of the best discounts of the year. And since sales (and ad rates) are lower this year, we can expect some pretty big discounts this July.
Of course, Amazon is not the only company doing a “Black Friday in July” sale this year. Since Prime Day first started, its biggest competitors have started doing similar sales at the same time. This year, Walmart is making a big sale from July 8 through July 11 for its Walmart+ members. At the same time, Best Buy is holding its annual July 4th sale a couple of weeks ahead of Prime Day. This year, most of them aren’t during Prime Day, which means you get a full month of deals, essentially.
Early Prime Day 2024 Deals
Even though Prime Day was just announced today, there are some early Prime Day 2024 deals available – mainly on Amazon services. One of the biggest deals is on Audible, where you can get three months of Audible Premium Plus for free right now. This is only for Prime members, as usual, and is a $44.95 value.
Another deal that Amazon is currently touting is three months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free. That’s a $49.95 value and is also only available for Amazon Prime members.
Those who want to take part in Amazon Prime Day this year will need to be Prime members. About 90% of the deals are going to be available for Prime members only, but you can sign up for a free trial. Amazon offers a 30-day free trial – which will get you through Prime Day next month. At the same time, students can get a 6-month free trial to Amazon Prime. Those who aren’t able to take advantage of a free trial will want to get a yearly subscription. That is now $139 per year or $69.99 per year for students.
