YouTube TV has started rolling out the Multiview feature on Android phones and tablets. The multiview feature initially launched as a preview in 2023 on Smart TVs and streaming devices.

Last month, YouTube TV rolled out the feature to iOS devices and later stated that it’s soon rolling out on Android in the coming months.

However, according to the 9to5 Google report, Android users should expect the Multiview feature later today. It looks like Google opted to roll out Multiview sooner than the “coming months” that it previously stated.

YouTube TV Multiview feature is finally coming to Android

For those unaware of the Multiview, this feature allows YouTube TV subscribers to watch up to four channels simultaneously. Multiview doesn’t require high-powered equipment, it can easily work on any Android phone and tablet.

You can build your own Multiview channels in certain cases and even select non-sports streams too. However, for most of the part, mostly only support sports streams. The stream you’re watching will be highlighted in white and you can quickly change the stream by just tapping on that segment of the grid.

YouTube TV costs $72.99/month, and it gives users access to exclusive perks that take their streaming experience to the next level. Now, the Multiview feature comes under the exclusive perks which means you have to opt for a YouTube TV subscription to access this feature.

You must update the YouTube TV app to the latest version (8.17) to use the feature. Once updated, you can find Multiview in the Home tab on your Android device.

Google is gradually rolling out the latest version of the app, so there is a high chance that the latest update hasn’t been rolled out yet to your device. We would suggest waiting for some time and then recheck for the update. Once it’s available, update the app and enjoy the Multifview feature on your Android devices.
