Apple Vision Pro is the company’s first generation of mixed-reality headset. The product did good in the initial period but after a few months, the brand noticed a sharp decline in demand. One of the reasons predicted for the decline in demand was the higher price tag, which is out of many people’s affordability range. But it seems that the upcoming  Apple Vision Pro 2 is going to be comparatively cheaper.

The Apple Vision Pro 2 could be as much as 50% cheaper

Apple had planned a huge success of the first generation Apple Vision Pro, but due to its intensely higher price tag, it failed to perform up to the mark. But the brand doesn’t want the same thing to be repeated in its coming generation of products. And hence, they seem to be making some modifications to the upcoming Apple Vision Pro 2. The forthcoming product will see a huge price drop compared to its predecessor.

A report claims that the upcoming Apple Vision 2 Pro will cost anywhere between $1500 to $2500. For reference, the Vision Pro starts at $3500. So we may see as much as a 50% price drop in the successor of the Vision Pro. There are a lot of factors that forced Apple to possibly lower the prices, such as more and more brands entering the mixed reality headset market, the failure of Apple Vision Pro, etc.

Vision Pro 2 will use more Samsung tech

Apart from the pricing counterpart, one major thing we are going to notice in the upcoming headset is that it will use more Samsung parts compared to its predecessor. This might also help the brand to significantly lower the prices. Samsung will supply the headsets LLW DRAM.

The reports also claim that Samsung will only manufacture other parts of the Vision Pro 2 such as display and other micro-parts. The current one uses Sony’s microLED panel.
