Google & McLaren Racing have decided to expand their partnership

The McLaren F1 team has been using the Chrome browser and Android devices from Samsung thus far. Both for their business and race operations. Well, now they’ll also adopt Google Cloud and Google Pixel devices.

McLaren will use Google Cloud’s AI to “help visualize race data and provide insights across the team, including radio sentiment”, it is said in the press release. The two teams will also collaborate to use AI to “make processes more efficient and optimize resources”.

Google Chrome, Android & Pixel brandings will appear on the McLaren MCL38

It is worth noting that the Google Chrome, Android, and Pixel branding will appear on the McLaren MCL38, McLaren’s F1 speedster. Those brandings will also appear on the pit crew overalls, team kit, and driver overalls of McLaren Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

This basically means that the partnership between McLaren Racing and Google not only continues but reaches a new level. Google will continue to be an Official Primary Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team and an Official Partner of the NEOM McLaren Extreme E Team.
