The Apple iPhone SE 4 is expected to arrive next year. That device will be completely different than the iPhone SE 3 aka iPhone SE 2022. That much we knew. MacRumors now confirmed that the iPhone SE 4 will also include the same battery as the iPhone 14.
That is also not surprising considering that the phone will look like the iPhone 14. A number of rumors indicated that change already, which means that it will not only look different than the iPhone SE 2022, but it will be a lot larger. Those of you who enjoyed tiny iPhone SE models, well, that’ll be over next year. No more tiny iPhones, it seems, at least not in the near future.
The iPhone SE 4 will include the same battery as the iPhone 14, it seems
In any case, the source claims that the prototypes of the iPhone SE 4 are equipped with Li-Ion batteries with model number A2863. That is the same battery used in the iPhone 14, which means we’ll get a 3,279mAh battery inside the iPhone SE 4.
If this info is true, the battery inside the iPhone SE 4 will offer a lot more capacity than the one in the iPhone SE 2022, 1,261mAh more, to be exact. That’s not surprising as the iPhone SE 2022 has a 4.7-inch display, and the iPhone SE 4 is expected to include a 6.1-inch panel. That display will also be a lot sharper.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to include an Action Button too, and a USB Type-C port as well. The overall design will be very similar to the iPhone 14, as that’s the phone Apple is basing the iPhone SE 4 on.
Its price tag is a true mystery
It will be interesting to see how much will the device cost. The iPhone SE 2022 was truly affordable, but it had a ton of tradeoffs. The iPhone SE 4 is expected to offer much more, and be a much better device overall. It will definitely be noticeably more expensive than the iPhone SE 2022, but we’re wondering by how much.
We’ll have to wait until next year to find out, based on rumors. We also don’t know when is Apple planning to launch it exactly. The company could wait until the iPhone 16 launch, that’s most likely. The iPhone SE 2022 launched alongside the iPhone 14 series last year.
