If you are an avid gamer, then you must have heard of the Google Play Games for PC platform. Google is now updating this platform (for beta testing), bringing more game titles as well as a ton of other features. Now there are over 3000 gaming titles that users can access from their PC and Chromebooks.

It’s becoming more clear that Google’s gaming library is expanding and bringing more options to users. To meet the needs of users in this time of growth, Google is adding a new “All games” page for easy access to available titles. This new page is accessible via the top-right corner of the platform’s interface on PCs and Chromebooks.

In addition to the new games and the page housing all available titles, Google is giving users the ability to game with a controller. At the moment, this ability is limited to certain games on the platform. There are also only a handful of gaming controllers that one can use to game on the Google Play Games PC platform.

Everything you need to know about the improvements to the Google Play Game PC platform

These improvements that are now on the Play Games PC platform are in beta testing at this moment. Users of this platform will be able to access all the new games and features via an upcoming update that will soon be available for usage. PCs running Windows 10 and 11 as well as Chromebooks will get this update along with all the new features.

Google is already preparing to roll out Clash of Clans and Clash Royale to Chromebooks. Users will be able to access these games along with over 3000 extra options on their Chromebook or PC from the platform. Navigating the platform in search of new games to try out is also becoming straightforward.

The new “All games” page is going to help users see everything the platform has to offer gamers. This new page is joining the filter options that some users are already familiar with. These filter options are Action, Adventure, and Arcade and users can use these to find various genres of games they like playing.

If you don’t want to game using your keyboard, Google now lets you play some games with a controller. These games include Asphalt 9: Legends and BADLAND, but more titles might join in the future. If you own an Xbox S/X, Xbox One, PS5 DualSense, or PS4 DualShock controllers, you can use them to play these games on your PC.

One particular improvement that is coming to the Google Play Game PC platform is the addition of support for 4K resolution. Users can also select various screen resolutions that they feel meet their gaming needs. All these improvements will become available for usage in the coming weeks after beta testing.
