Google Messages is the standard messaging app on a ton of Android devices, and it’s always bringing new changes. There’s a new change coming that will make sharing to this app a bit less frustrating. According to 9To5Google, the Google Messages share sheet is getting an update to make sharing easier.

If you’re not up to date on the new changes coming to Google Messages, you might want to update your app. The company just redesigned the home page a bit. The company did away with the search bar and replaced it with a search button. Also, the hamburger-style menu was removed, and all of the items were moved to the menu on the right side of the screen. Google Messages updates its share sheet to make sharing less frustrating

When you want to share something with one of your contacts on Google Messages, you’ll use the Android share sheet. When you previously selected the Google Messages option, you’d see a small floating window with some of your recent contacts that you can share to. This would show their name and contact number. That’s great, but if you needed to quickly share to a contact you haven’t shared to in a while, it’d be a bit frustrating.

If you don’t see that contact on the list, then you’d have to exit the share sheet and manually share the content by going to the Google Messages app. That’s an extra step that negates the use of the share sheet.

However, Google is updating the share sheet for Google Messages. After the update, when you select Google Messages, it will open a full page instead of a small window. You’ll see five of your most recently contacted contacts. If you don’t see the contact you want to share to, you’ll tap on the More recent conversations button under the list. This will expand the list by 15 conversations. You can expand the list multiple times to find the right conversation.

If you don’t want to bother with scrolling through a list, there’s a search button on the top right of the screen. Lastly, you’re able to select multiple people to send the content to.

This update is rolling out to people who are on the Google Messages beta. If you’re on the stable version, you might have to wait a bit.
