Google Photos for desktop gets a nice update

When you’re uploading content to Google Photos from your computer, you’re used to seeing a dropdown menu with several options. You can upload from your computer or Google Drive. There’s also an “Add from other places’ section where you can transfer from your photo collections, transfer from photography services, digitize physical photos, backup from your computer, or scan photos with your phone.

After this update, you’ll see a slight change to the menu. The Google Drive option will be a part of the “Add from other places” section.

The next visual change comes when you’re in the process of uploading the files. The company changed the upload UI. You’ll see the text telling you how many files you’re uploading to the cloud. Under that, it will show you how much time is left in the upload, which is a neat addition. If you need to cancel the upload, there’s a blue Stop button that you can use. Under that, you’ll see the list of files that you’re uploading.
