Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold 5 Thom Browne Edition. The limited edition foldable comes with a unique exterior themed to the New York City-based fashion designer’s iconic red, blue, and white stripes. The bundle also includes a customized Galaxy Watch 6 and other exclusive accessories.
According to Samsung, this unique foldable is “an homage to Thom Browne’s signature design elements with its black pebble leather and grosgrain details.” The iconic American stripes run vertically on the back of the phone. The Korean firm has also etched a fabric texture on the back glass. Additionally, it has painted the frame black and gave a golden finish to the hinge for an elegant look. The rings around the camera lenses have also been painted gold.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 Thom Browne Edition gets some software customizations as well. The boot screen features a Thom Browne branding, while the default wallpaper is also themed to the fashion designer. Samsung is offering a customized icon pack too. “We want to show that a perfect blend of top quality, innovative design, and a classic aesthetic can become a powerful form of self-expression,” Thome Browne said about the product.
To ensure that buyers get an unmatched experience, Samsung has created a special briefcase-style packaging. “Elevating the black-tie effect, the stylish packaging turns a typical unboxing into the upgraded experience of opening a briefcase, while also being designed for long-term use as a memento,” the Korean firm says. The briefcase includes a certificate along with the products, which are kept in two separate boxes.
The first box has the Galaxy Z Fold 5 Thom Browne Edition, a customized S Pen, and a couple of leather pouch cases. The special edition S Pen comes with its own holster featuring a black-tie aesthetic and gold accents. The two leather cases also feature similar customizations, with a prominent golden Thom Browne branding and Americana stripes.
The Galaxy Watch 6 Thom Browne Edition is equally unique
The second box inside the big briefcase houses the Galaxy Watch 6 Thom Browne Edition, which is equally unique. It features a similar Thom Browne-themed aesthetic, including the designer’s logo engraved on the side. The gold-tone body of the watch comes with a complementary watch face.
Samsung offers two leather straps with the Galaxy Watch 6 Thom Browne Edition. One has black pebble leather and the other has red, white, and blue striped leather. The company has used these colors on the 25W travel adapter for the foldable, the watch charger, and the USB cable as well. The whole package will be available from September 12 in South Korea and select other markets. Samsung may announce the pricing details in due course.
