The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (aka Ultra) weight has been revealed by a tipster. This information comes from Revenus, who shared it via X (formerly known as Twitter).

The iPhone 15 Pro series lost weight, it seems

He claims that the iPhone 15 Pro will weigh 191 grams, while its larger sibling will weigh 221 grams. That’s a considerable difference compared to their predecessors. The iPhone 14 Pro weighs 206 grams, while the Pro Max variant weighs 240 grams.

The iPhone 15 Pro will be 15 grams lighter than its predecessor, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max aka Ultra will weigh 19 grams less. That may not seem a lot, but it kind of is when it comes to phones.

The iPhone 14 Pro is too heavy for its size either way. That’s a 6.1-inch phone that weighs over 200 grams. The iPhone 15 Pro will, thankfully, bring that down, and will almost certainly be a more enjoyable device for it.

The phone will still have some heft to it, but not too much, so it’ll be easier to use with one hand. Also, it shouldn’t cut into your finger all that much when you hold it with one hand, especially if you hold it without a case. Weight plays a huge role in situations like that.

The fact both phones will have a titanium frame probably has something to do with it

How did Apple manage to do this? Do keep in mind that the phones will offer the same display size. Well, the iPhone 15 Pro variants may be ever so slightly smaller due to thinner bezels, and on top of that, Apple will use a different material for their frames.

The iPhone 15 Pro and its larger sibling will utilize titanium for their frames, while the iPhone 14 Pro series uses stainless steel. Needless to say, titanium is not only stronger, but it’s lighter too, so it’s a win-win.

The entire iPhone 15 series will become official on September 12 or 13. That is based on rumors from trusted sources, Apple still didn’t confirm anything.
