Earlier today NVIDIA announced the Ultimate plan of its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, and you can get 6 months of it for free as an AT&T customer. There is of a course a catch, but that’s to be expected. The good news is, the deal is available to both existing and new customers. So you don’t have to be switching from another carrier to be eligible.

The GeForce NOW Ultimate plan is the next step in NVIDIA’s cloud gaming endeavor. It offers performance based on RTX 4080 GPUs with support for DLSS 3 and NVIDIA Reflex. It also now supports up to 240Hz refresh rates and Ultrawide monitors if you’re playing on PC. Basically, it’s a lot better than it was just last week. Normally, the Ultimate plan would cost you $99 for a 6-month membership. So getting those first 6 months at no charge is a pretty good deal if you like playing games. Here’s what you need to qualify.

GeForce NOW Ultimate is free for 6 months to AT&T wireless and internet customers

Prior to today, you could get a free 6 months of the Priority membership, but this was only available to wireless customers. AT&T is now expanding the deal to people who have AT&T home internet. The new deal also bumps up the package. As last year’s deal was for the mid-tier offering. Which included performance based on the GTX 1080 GPU.

To get the deal, you need to be on an AT&T 5G wireless plan with an eligible 5G device and a qualifying Unlimited 5G rate plan. This includes both legacy and current plans. Your other option is to be on any of AT&T’s Fiber plans with speeds of 300Mbps or higher. Here’s the catch. You have to be a new AT&T Fiber customer. Existing Fiber plans will not qualify.

AT&T says this is subject to change but for the time being, you need to be a new Fiber customer. AT&T is rolling out the deal starting January 19.
