Samsung has teamed up with the French clothing brand Lacoste to develop four new protective cases for the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Well, it’s the same case in four different colors — Rose Gold, Blue, Graphite, and Lavender. The phone itself comes in these color options.
These are two-piece cases featuring a ring. Samsung already offers multiple similar solutions through its website. You will also find several third-party protective cases for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 with a ring. The major difference here is the iconic Lacoste crocodile logo on the lower rear panel. When paired with a matching Lacsted outfit, it could add to your style statement. The French company makes everything from clothes and footwear to eyewear and watches. A Galaxy Z Flip 4 with a Lacoste-branded protective case would be a perfect fit.
According to Samsung, these cases make use of recycled materials. Their packaging is also entirely made from recycled materials such as cardboard, vegetable ink, and vegetable glue. The company has been doubling down on its sustainability efforts in recent years, increasing the use of recycled materials on its products and packaging. It’s nice to see the Korean behemoth continuing its efforts with these kinds of exclusive partnerships as well.
If you’re using a Galaxy Z Flip 4 or planning to buy the latest clamshell foldable from Samsung, you can pair it with the new Lacoste-branded protective cases. They are available on the company’s official website for France. Each case costs €44.90, which is equivalent to USD 44.90. However, the cases aren’t available to purchase stateside. It’s unclear if the Korean firm plans to launch those here. There isn’t much hope, though.
Samsung signs another exclusive partnerships for the Galaxy Z Flip 4
Samsung’s Flip lineup of foldables smartphones has proved to be a crowd favorite. Since the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 last year, the company has signed up several partnerships with other brands for exclusive customization of the phone. The 2021 model got a Pokemon edition amongst others. The Korean behemoth recently launched the Maison Margiela edition of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 as well. It has now followed up with these exclusive protective cases for the new foldable in partnership with Lacoste.
Samsung wants to make foldable smartphones mainstream someday and these kinds of partnerships are likely a strategy to make more people buy the phones. The company says more than 90 percent of foldables users prefer buying a foldable as their next phone, so we can see where it’s going.
