fuboTV Launches New "Ultimate" Plan That Will Cost You $99/Month

fuboTV has just launched a new plan that is currently only available to a few new subscribers, but will be available to all users in the coming days. It’s a new “Ultimate” plan from fuboTV, which bundles everything in the Pro Plan along with Fubo Extra, News Plus, Sports Plus and Showtime for $99.99 per month.

Interestingly, this doesn’t actually save subscribers much money. As these would cost about $2.96 more per month if the Ultimate plan didn’t exist. Not to mention that users could head over to Paramount+ and get it with Showtime for just $9.99 per month. Cheaper than getting Showtime by itself.

fuboTV has removed free trials, for now

fuboTV has also removed free trials for now, as a new test that the streamer is doing. This is actually pretty common, as back in March, fuboTV actually changed the free trial down to a single day. Though they did revert back to seven days pretty quickly. So this test might stick around, or it might not. It’ll depend on customer feedback.

The company is likely looking to limit those that sign up just for the free trial and then leave the service. And without a free trial, that means less people will be doing that.

Hulu + Live TV and Sling TV both removed their free trials recently. DIRECTV STREAM does still have a five-day free trial, though it used to be longer. YouTube TV still offers a 7-day free trial and knocks $10 off your first three months too. So it does look like this is an industry-wide thing, getting rid of free trials. It makes sense as the content they are offering is getting more and more expensive.

fuboTV has been trying out a bunch of different tests with its service over the past year. Including a quarterly plan instead of a monthly one, moving its 4K access over to the Elite plan for existing customers and much more.
