Samsung has just announced its latest update for the Galaxy Watch 4, and it’s focused on wellness and customization. Users will get to see a handful of changes that are aimed at improving their sleep and giving them a touch more personalization than before.

But as with all updates, the software tends to roll out gradually as opposed to all at once. So you may not see this new update right away. Speaking of which, the update will begin to roll out this week. Specifically on February 9, the day of Unpacked.

Samsung states that the software will be pushed to user’s devices through the Galaxy Wearable app. If you’ve got a Galaxy Watch 4, then open the app on the day of Unpacked to see if the software is available to download.

The Galaxy Watch 4 update improves wellness with a sleep coaching program

You might not think you need a sleep coaching program to help you sleep better. And perhaps you don’t need it, but it can certainly help. And that’s what this update brings to the table. What the sleep coaching program does is analyze your sleep pattern over the course of a week. Then, you complete two sleep surveys and the program will assign you a sleep symbol animal.

These represent your sleep type. And include the Sun Averse Mole, Nervous Penguin, Unconcerned Lion, Sensitive Hedgehog, Cautious Deer, Exhausted Shark, Easygoing Walrus, and Alligator On The Hunt.

After getting a sleep symbol, users then go through a coaching program that lasts for about four to five weeks. During this program, users can do a number of things to help improve their sleep quality. Including missions, checklists, sleep-related articles and more.

Check out new watch faces and throw on a new matching strap

If customization is your thing, then you’re in for a treat with this update because there are new watch faces to try. These will come with new colors and fonts for the clock, and Samsung says there are even new matching straps to keep the whole theme going.

The new straps that will be available come in Cream and Burgundy colors. As well as a new fabric band and link bracelet.

The Straps will be available from Samsung’s online store this month, while the watch faces will be available as part of the update that starts rolling out on February 9. You can grab the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic right now.
