OUKITEL is planning to release a new handset in early March, the C13 Pro. This handset will ship with Android 9 Pie, confirmed the company. In addition to announcing the arrival of this phone, the company also shared some extra info regarding the device, including its design and some of its specifications.

If you take a look at the provided image, you will notice that the phone resembles the iPhone X series, to a degree. The device has a rather large display notch, and a thin “chin” below the display. A rear-facing fingerprint scanner is also a part of the package, while a vertically-aligned dual camera setup is included on the back of the device as well. An LED flash sits between two rear-facing cameras, while OUKITEL’s logo is included on the back of the phone as well. The device will be made out of metal and glass.

As far as specifications are concerned, OUKITEL did not release all that much info, but we do know that the phone will feature a 6.18-inch display, which will be protected by a 2.5D curved glass by Asahi. A 3,000mAh battery will be included in the phone as well, and it will not be removable. That is pretty much all the spec info that the company provided us with.

OUKITEL did mention that Android 9 Pie will make that battery last even longer than you think, as it has seen considerable improvement in battery life compared to some of its Android Oreo-based devices. Android 9 Pie will also bring new volume controls, differently-designed Quick Settings, simplified notifications, editable screenshots, rotation confirmation buttons, and so on. If you’re familiar with Android 9 Pie in general, you should have a pretty good idea what to expect here.

We’re still not sure whether the OUKITEL C13 Pro will be an entry-level or a mid-range smartphone, but it’s possible this phone will be placed in the entry-level category, as it’s one of the company’s C series smartphones.

OUKITEL recently confirmed that the OUKITEL C15 Pro will become the company’s very first smartphone with a teardrop notch, while that device will also sport a 6-inch display and will be fueled by the MediaTek MT6761 64-bit quad-core SoC. Chances are that the OUKITEL C13 Pro will be inferior to the C15 Pro, but we’re only guessing, based on their design and names.

It is quite possible that both of these phones will debut in March, unless OUKITEL decides to release the OUKITEL C15 Pro during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona later this month, or something of the sort.
