HMD Global’s upcoming handset, the Nokia 6.1 Plus (aka Nokia X6) has just surfaced on Geekbench. The Nokia 6.1 Plus will be a mid-range smartphone according to Geekbench, and this is not the first time we’re hearing about this phone, as the device got its Bluetooth certification last month. It seems like the Nokia 6.1 Plus will be a global variant of the Nokia X6, more or less, so, let’s see what Geekbench has to say.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus managed to score 1,332 points in the single-core, and 4,903 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench. The source claims that the device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 636 64-bit octa-core processor, as expected, while it will also include 4GB of RAM on the inside. Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the device, and the phone’s processor will be clocked at 1.6GHz. That’s pretty much all the info that Geekbench shared, but considering that the Nokia X6 got announced in China already, we pretty much know what to expect from the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The device will be made out of metal and glass, while it will ship with a dual camera setup on the back. Along with those two cameras, an LED flash will be included on the back as well, along with the phone’s fingerprint scanner and Nokia’s branding. The Nokia 6.1 Plus will sport a display notch, and a small ‘chin’ below the display.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus, in addition to spec detail we’ve already mentioned, will include a 5.8-inch fullHD+ IPS LCD display, and quite probably two SIM card slots. The device may arrive in a 6GB RAM variant as well, as Nokia introduced the X6 in two RAM variants. The Nokia 6.1 Plus will ship with Bluetooth 5.0 and a 3,060mAh battery which will support Quick Charge 3.0. 16 and 5-megapixel cameras will be included on the back of the phone, while a single 16-megapixel camera will sit on the phone’s front side. We’re still not sure when will this phone become a reality, but considering the amount of info that has been surfacing online, it will happen in the near future.
