One of the biggest surprises coming out of Google I/O this year was the absence of a new version of Android and a new Nexus 7. Well we’ve heard rumors, that Android 4.3 and the new Nexus 7 would be launched at an event on June 10th. We’ve just seen a new ASUS device get Bluetooth certification. It’s model number ME370T and is running on software version JWR11. Which means it’s still running Jelly Bean and not Key Lime Pie.

So it looks like Android 4.3 and the Nexus 7 are getting even closer to an official announcement. We’re still expecting Android 4.3 to be available on the current Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Nexus 4. But we have not seen a Nexus 10 running Android 4.3, I wouldn’t be so fast to rule it out already though. It’ll more than likely get the update to Android 4.3.

We still have no official word about Android 4.3 or a new Nexus 7. But things are starting to look good for an upcoming announcement. As much as we wanted to see Key Lime Pie or Android 5.0, we still may see it later this year. But at this point we’ll take any new version of Android to play around with. Hopefully we see some major fixes to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi as in Android 4.2.2 many people are still having problems.
