So this time last year, we’re all watching live on YouTube as Matias Duarte and crew were introducing us to Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich, and Samsung introduced us to the Galaxy Nexus. So Happy Birthday to Ice Cream Sandwich and the Galaxy Nexus. Back to business now, the Droid Bionic which has been said to be the red-headed step-child of Motorola is finally getting some official Ice Cream Sandwich now. Well almost, the support documents on Verizon’s website have been updated so you should see the OTA anytime now.

The build is 6.7.246 and the update is about 368MB in size. So unless you have an unlimited data plan and you have LTE in your area, I would suggest connecting to Wifi before attempting to download this one. Of course all of the goodies in ICS are in this update, along with some updated bloatware apps, Smart Actions which was introduced in the original Droid Razr last year. You can find out more about the update in the source link below.

Are there any Droid Bionic owners left? I know most of you have switched to a newer device like the Galaxy Nexus, or the Droid Razr Maxx. Anyhow  when the update arrives let us know in the comments you are liking it.
