According to the T-Mobile support page. The Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, will be receiving an update to Ice Cream Sandwich. The updates also improves device stability. Here is what T-Mobile has to say on the matter.

Beginning October 3, the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G will have an optional software update to Android version 4.0.4 / Software T769UVLH5 via Samsung Kies only. This update is an optional update to Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) and improves device performance.

You can update in two ways:

  • Over the air (OTA) update to Software T769UVLF4: See below steps to manually request the OTA update.
  • Manual download to T769UVLH5 (ICS): If you want to update to T769UVLH5, you can update via Samsung Kies. Ensure you are on the latest version of Kies prior to attempting the update. Seehttp://www.samsung.com/us/kies/ to confirm the version.

As you can see you will need to use Samsung Kies to get the update and all the goodness that is Ice Cream Sandwich. One downside to point out, if you are rooted then you will not be able to receive the update, but then again if you are rooted you have probably been enjoying Ice Cream Sandwich for awhile now with custom ROMs I’m sure. Well folks, how many of you are excited for tomorrow’s update? Let us know how it goes and what you think.
