Today, Sony added 3 more devices to their list of Xperia phones getting Ice Cream Sandwich from their 2011 lineup. These include the Xperia U, Xperia Sola, and Xperia Go. The update is available starting today for owners of the unlocked versions. Those with carrier-branded versions will have to wait on their carrier to okay it, and send the OTA out to you. At least Verizon doesn’t have any of these devices, you won’t see the update for another three months.

Coming in the Android 4.0 upgrade are all the usual features in Ice Cream Sandwich including Face unlock, the new Holo-themed User Interface, and much more. Users will also get a new media playing experience, an improved lock screen, an “extended standby mode” to increase standby times up to four times. And specifically for the Xperia Sola, a new “Glove mode” for the device’s floating touch feature that will now work while you’re wearing gloves.

You can check out Sony Mobile’s Update site for more information, and downloads. Sony has said the rollout will reach full swing by the middle of next week. So not everyone will be able to get some ICS goodness on their device today. Once you get the update, let us know in the comments how you’re finding Ice Cream Sandwich.
