This is some pretty bad news, especially since all these devices are under 2 years old. Making most owners have to wait almost a year to upgrade to a new device. But Motorola has updated their upgrade chart to show that the Atrix 4G on AT&T, the Photon 4G on AT&T and the Electrify on US Cellular will all stay on Gingerbread.

All three of these devices were released last year, so Motorola should be giving owners of these three devices a $100 credit towards a new device. Hopefully they keep their word from the Droid Razr announcement earlier this month. So if you’re stuck in your 2-year contract for a few more months or even longer, I would suggest rooting and installing a custom ROM. I would recommend installing Cyanogenmod, which you can read my review here.

So Atrix 4G, Photon 4G, and Electrify owners, what are your thoughts? Sound off in the comments below, because we know you’re mad. I sure would be.
