I'm really hooked on this game, playing it like 3 or 4 times a week. It's a total blast, super fun, and keeps me on my toes with its challenges! Some levels are insanely tough, while others are a bit easier, but overall, it's a thrilling ride, especially when you're on a winning streak and breezing through levels. I'd totally recommend it to anyone who's into a challenging, fun, and exciting video game. This game is just fantastic! It blows all the other Angry Birds games out of the water. I'm loving the constant action and those quirky bird names. The tournaments are a real highlight too, helping me improve my bird-flinging skills big time. Sure, there are a few levels I'm not thrilled about, but overall, it's a solid 5 stars from me. And yeah, I'm totally hooked! Let's talk about the music in the tournaments - it's absolutely killer! Whoever's in charge of that deserves major props. The tunes for the Easter tournament even remind me of the start of "Wildest Dreams" by the Moody Blues. Keep up the awesome work! Angry Birds might be an oldie, but it's definitely a goodie in the world of gaming apps. It's always a blast to dive back in, especially for us fans from way back when. And hey, here's an idea: how about adding a mighty Phoenix to the gang? That would be seriously epic!

Update to review below: have newest kindle version 10 and as others have stated this update not working. It works on my phone but not on kindle.

As many others have stated today, February 2, 2016 game says to update and cannot do so anywhere. Keeps bringing back to game to update after being sent to amazon apps with zero update button available, just to open which brings back to game to update over and over again. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

And thank you for getting in contact with us. To start of, we are truly sorry for the issues you have experienced with Angry Birds Friends recently.

There were changes made to the game that have caused it to become more resource intensive and this in turn has forced us to drop support for some devices that previously were supported by the game. The reason you are unable to update the game is due to the fact that your device is no longer compatible with Friends.

As technology develops and devices become relatively more high-end, the demand for feature rich games also goes up. This is a natural consequence of development and in order for us to keep up with this natural cycle, we have to make unfortunate decisions that affect our players in a very concrete and sometimes negative way. We are very sorry that there is really nothing we can do for you at this time. The device you are using is nearing the end of its life-cycle and in the future less and less games will continue to function normally and these devices will start to be left behind due to technological advancement.

We sincerely hope that you can enjoy AB Friends again on a different and compatible device soon.

On the morning I wrote this review I deleted the game itself from my tablet. The game itself is quite fun. As usual for an Angry Birds variant, the objective is to destroy all pigs and in so doing rack up as high a point total as possible. Actually, there are various ways to do so. You can advance up the "Piggy Tower" by knocking out pigs in multiple scenarios on each tower level. You can also go one-on-one with other players in three-round matches to achieve wins and stars which boost your birds' power and advance you to higher ranks. And you can also enter tournaments that last two to three days. The tournaments consist of eight events which can be played over and over to achieve higher scores, and you are then lumped in with 39 other players in a league. High finishers win points which eventually advance them to higher level leagues, with their own rewards. You can also compete with two other "friends," who's scores are already posted.

Unfortunately, as is so often the case, one can also employ "power-ups," which have to be purchased using gold coin rewards or obtained from occasion spins of a reward wheel. However, the events are set up so that to get a good score and advance, you have to play with power-ups, and there's no way that you can acquire enough of those power-ups fast enough without actually paying real money. Recently, the events have become somewhat harder, to the point where one or two appeared impossible (almost) without use of power-ups. It was at that point that I deleted the game.

If you insist on playing, I suggest you concentrate on the one-on-one competitions, which don't really require the use of power-ups, or just try to best your two "friends" in tournament play. Full league play with advancement is simply not possible unless you want to spend real money. Again, it's a shame.

I'm all in, taking on opponents left and right. And those tournaments popping up every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday? So rad! Climbing up that leaderboard is what I live for. Blue's Tower, Bomb's garden, the spins – they're all epic adventures. And let's give a shoutout to the OG tournaments, they're absolute legends! Heck yeah!!
