AITA?: A Modern Fairy Tale Kindle Edition

Dear Schmedit:

This past weekend my fiancé (24 M) and I (23 F) were at a party at a friend’s and I’ll admit we both got pretty wasted....

Apparently sometime that night he asked me if it was okay to summon a demon for a threesome before our wedding, and according to him, I told him, “Yes.”

I don’t actually remember this happening so clearly? But his friends must have heard me—because a week later, they’d all pitched in to have a Delectably Demonic ™ summoning kit delivered to our house for him.

I want to put my foot down, but that would make him sad. I think he was really looking forward to it after I told him it’d be okay—and his friends really did spend a lot of money on this thing. It’s top of the line, and they can’t return it. You know how demons are.

So I kind of feel like a jerk. I mean, I did say yes, and I don’t want to let him down.

If I tell him no . . .
AITA?

AITA? is a sizzling sapphic romcom based on instantly recognizable internet lore.

You know how demons are. So I kind of feel like a jerk. I mean, I did say yes, and I don’t want to let him down. If I tell him no . . . AITA? AITA? is a sizzling sapphic romantic comedy based on instantly recognizable internet lore--framed by AITA? letters (like you might recognize from a certain major website.)

While it was the light and funny story I was hoping for, AITA? is also more than that. These two women’s – one human, one demonic – journey to finding themselves and their forever love is way more moving than I expected, way more than just a sexy romp. Becky grows from a naïve young woman, unsure of her worth and lovability into someone who goes for what she wants because she deserves it. Quenalith is older (how old do demons live?) and worldlier but on her own journey, reinventing her life after grief and fury led her to jail, and sweet Becky, with her passion for art and the artists who make it, may not be who she foresaw by her side but she brings out a gentler side of Quen that may very well be the key to happiness. -- Jude in the Stars at Lez Review Books

Who doesn't love a good AITA post to share with your friends and weigh in on
Who doesn't love a good AITA post to share with your friends and weigh in on, right? Anyone who prefaces a situation with "X doesn't count, alright?" really means it doesn't count for them. From the jump we knew Logan was trash, but in the way that so many wealthy men are trash, in that they've never known being anything other than a little bit garbage, and everyone around them is a bit garbage, so they don't see anything wrong with their behavior. Poor Becky was already in a losing situation.Quenilith was a delight. Sharp, quick to provoke, and straight to the point. She wanted Becky and nothing was going to dissuade her from that. I felt bad for Becky's guilt about how her whole tryst with Quen began, those feelings are hard enough when you're sure of something, but the doubts that plagued her for most of the book were palpable.

I debated spending the money on this book for a bit before seeing it recommended by someone that seems to have similar tastes to me. I am so very glad I purchased this book! I kind of assumed it was going to be very erotic and sometimes that’s great. There is spice. Very nice spice. But there’s also a great story told in both MCs pov. It’s fairly short but there is character growth, lots of chemistry, nicely written continuous story, a beautiful/sexy resolution and hea. Hoping to get a bit more of these two!

This story was pretty great. Interesting characters, hilarious one liners, hot sex scenes, and really cool world building. While I don't love infidelity, it makes sense in this story as a plot device. The rest of the plot makes up for it, with the interesting art history line running throughout the story. I wish the Epilogue was longer to expand on where are characters are now, as it was not addressed at all. And I wish there was more information about the demon worlds and more connection to the art. But I still liked it a lot.

The characters are very real, suffering from grief or alcoholism, or feeling stuck and questioning everything. While at times it was too relatable for me and had to be temporarily set aside, it was 100% worth it to finish. The story doesn't follow the typical cookie cutter outline, instead showcasing a more healthy outcome, resulting in a much more satisfying ending.

This was the first book I've read by Cassie Alexander. I found it by accident, and the blurb made it sound funny. It was really funny and really good. I would love to read more about Becky and Quen and all the other characters in the story.

I really enjoyed this book! I started out thinking I'll just take a quick look at the first chapter. I finished two or three hours later, all the while thinking to myself, I'll stop after this chapter. So, unputdownable.

This is just a love story but with some interesting twists: girl agrees to a her fiance' request for a three-way just before the wedding and girl meets demon. Girl demon. The normal paranormal is a nice touch too. The demons came out of the closet and now an accepted part of society. It's funny, heart-breaking, romantic and thoroughly enjoyable.

I hadn’t anticipated enjoying this as much as I did! I thought it would be a silly little story to entertain me and that be the end of it. But it was beautiful and thought provoking, hot, and delicious! A truly exceptional story and if you’re reading this review, go download this book now!

A very cute story that reminds you to believe in love.
I simply devoured this book, as it was honestly a pleasure to read.

You can really tell the author put her whole self into her work and it really pays off. Can’t wait to read more by Cassie Alexander.

This book was wild in a good way.  Quenalith was no joke. She was a force to be reckoned with. I felt like she gave Becky the strength she needed to find her voice, to be free and happy for the first time in her life. With Logan, she was just going through the motions and his mother was not nice to Becky at all.

This was definitely a fun read. I enjoyed it because it is October, which is Halloween, so it has all of the elements that you’re looking for if you’re looking for a LGBTQ plus read for Halloween.

This was the first book by the author and I really enjoyed the story.

This is an amazing work. I’m so happy I got the opportunity to read this. I will definitely keep an eye out for future books by this author. Five stars!

So, this was really lovely! Since I fell in love with theatre Elphaba I can't resist a green MC, and with Quen was no different. She has so much character, even though the length of the book doesn't give much space to see the characters even more in depth, her quirkiness [being a demon and all] was very captivating for me and she's without reproach [did I use this idiom right?]. Becky on the other hand had her path set for me not to like her,

<SPOILER>

who likes a cheater,

.
.
</SPOILER>

right? well, in this case I do. I don't condone what she did, but I hardly can condemn her either, I'm just very happy she got her sheet together in the end exactly how she did, she's is lovely and had too much hardship in her life already, she deserves happiness.

I need to confess, however, that I didn't love a bit of the beginning, but just a tiny bit, okay? Because you see, I get pause when I read love and/or sex scenes with men, although I'm not a men-hater [who am I kidding? LOL. I'm joking, please] I tend to avoid them like the plague when I'm reading, it's my moment to escape, so that's why. It didn't help either that Logan had the personality of a worm writhing after you stepped on it. But even all this added to my final enjoyment of the story. Can you believe it? Like, yas girl! Good riddance!

It was a smooth, delicious reading. And GREEN! If everything Cassie writes is like this one I can't wait to see more FF works from her in the near future, hopefully.

And finally, I wouldn't mind a follow up on the couple either. There, I said it.

P.S.: that afterword was touching and however long it took for things to 'fall into place', I'm just glad they got there.

I honestly expected this to be pure lustful sex, some serious MFF action but I couldn't have been more wrong! And it totally wasn't a bad thing either! The story was loving and heartfelt between two females and i loved every second of it!
Reading the afterward also rang so True with me and the author is amazing for sharing this. I honestly feel like I could have wrote the exact same story without the religious Parents thankfully, I was lucky. But so many others aren't.
Love is love is love people!

4.0 out of 5 stars sweet sapphic monster romance

Full length sapphic monster romances are not exactly falling from the sky! This finally fits the bill! It’s got a bit of spicy I’d give it two chili peppers if I were to rank it. I was surprised by how sweet it was too! Great read in which the human FMC eventually learns to love herself.
