I was unsuccessful getting any support from this company on multiple occasions. I am not sure if if was just me but doesn't seem to be worth much of anything if you can't get actual support.

I would advise users that this plan doesnt cover anything accidental. It only covers major malfunctions with your laptop in case something is defective, but isnt that what a manufacturer's warranty is for? There is also a bit of a loophole in the fine print, lets say you laptop experience a power surge and it dies. Well, if they deem it an "act of god" that laptop isnt covered. Or they could say it was negligence on your part which would also mean, you are not covered. Do yourself a favor and just purchase an insurance plan or add your laptop to your renters insurance.

Here's a list of whats not covered thats will most definitely screw you over:

WHAT IS NOT COVERED:

(1) Breakdown caused by accidental damage, spilled liquids
(unless you purchased a portable electronic product or eyewear), insect infestation, misuse, abuse, or intentional
physical damage;

(3) Parts intended for periodic replacement (for example:
trimmer line, antennas, cartridges, styluses, records,
audio/video disks, tapes, computer software or disks, print
elements, external power supplies, spark plugs, filters,
plumbing, filters, knobs, remotes, batteries, bags, belts,
bulbs and/or lamps);

(4) Cosmetic damage, including scratches, peelings or dents
that do not impede the mechanical functionality of the
item (unless otherwise provided for above) and problems
due to improper installation;

(5) Damage resulting from Acts of God;

(8) Consequential or incidental damages, including but not
limited to, loss of use, loss of business, loss of profits, loss
of data, down-time and charges for time and effort, except
as otherwise stated herein;

(9) “No Problem Found” diagnosis or failure to follow the
manufacturer’s instructions;

(10) Any failures, parts and/or labor costs incurred that are
associated with a manufacturer’s recall, regardless of the
manufacturer’s ability to pay for such repairs;

(11) Pre-existing conditions;

(13) Products not originally covered by a store return policy
or manufacturer’s warranty, including, but not limited to,
floor models

(14) Damages caused by third-party actions, fire, collision,
vandalism or theft;

(16) Cost of preventative maintenance (unless you purchased a
Plan which includes maintenance) and damages caused by
improper preventative maintenance;

(19) Any damage or loss to any data or operating system,
including damage or loss as a result of any repairs or
replacement under this Plan;

(27) Introduction of foreign objects;

(28) Inherent defects that are the responsibility of the
manufacturer.

I am usually skeptical about protection plans, extended warranties, etc. But I was buying an expensive computer and decided to make the investment in the Asurion plan. I could not be more thrilled!

I dropped my laptop on a tile floor and it would not power on. My fault! Asurion overnighted me a pre-paid UPS next day air box. I sent my laptop on Friday. Monday morning, I got a text that it was received and could take 5-7 business days to repair. Monday evening, I got a text that it was fixed and on it's way back to me. Tuesday morning it arrived and my first act with my newly repaired computer was to write this review.

It took several weeks but they were unable to fix my computer screen. I received a full refund and the laptop was almost two years old.
I highly recommend and I purchased again

I do not use my legal name on Amazon, and every time I deal with them, I have to have them re-send the check with my legal name on it - they never listen on calls when I tell them this, and every claim I've had I have to pull up the exact product details for the correct item and then have the person the text or phone read back confirmation that the correct insurance is being used for the correct item. Even after that, I still get told they used the wrong insurance. I have two existing coverages left with them, and after that I will never use them again. I'm now 45 days waiting for the check in my legal name for a broken laptop. Maybe I just get the worst people on calls, but never again.
