I used these recently with an AMD based build. I had to go into BIOS to enabled XMP to get the 3200MHz. After you install these make sure you to go into BIOS and confirm if your motherboard is running at the speed and if not update accordingly so you aren't on a slower speed for the RAM.

Make sure if installing just two you reference your motherboard documentation to confirm which of the two slots you should place RAM in first.

Overall a decent component for a budget build.

If you're looking for high performing RAM without spending too much, then this is the perfect option. With 16GB of capacity, 3200Mhz Speed and an average Cas Latency of just 16, there really isn't anything that's as good of a value. The RAM has a low profile design that will work with most CPU coolers, and has a stealthy design that won't be too flashy if RGB isn't for you. At default, the RAM won't be running at 3200Mhz, and you will have to remember to enable the XMP profile in your BIOS in order to get the most of this kit. For my test build, I paired this with the non-X version of the Ryzen 5 5600 as well as the non-XT variant of the RX 6600 graphics card. This combination was a perfect 1080p performer and the RAM was plenty for nearly every game I tried. Some more RAM hungry games such as Hogwarts Legacy and Cyberpunk may have had extra frames with a 32GB kit instead, but all the games work just fine with this 16GB kit, and I don't think anyone will have complaints about this kit. For those looking to do a budget build, this is the perfect starting kit for all DDR4 supported motherboards.

I "think" this memory is good...?

I ran into issues with this but it's mostly on me because I didn't verify its compatibility. But for others' awareness, I'm writing this review in case someone else stumbles upon it.

It's been a few years since my last full build but I've built dozens of desktops prior. This time I was building a PC for my son.

I originally purchased this memory along with an MSI B550M PRO-VDH motherboard (for an AMD 5600g CPU) that I verified for its compatibility. I then shortly returned that motherboard because I found a really good deal for ASUS TUF B550M PLUS WIFI II.

Silly me, I just assumed it would work since it was the same B550M...boy was I wrong. My build was pretty easy. It turned on, bios loaded, and on to installing Windows. Then BAM! Blue Screen on Death on Windows install. Not sure how or what, but it put my hard drive in a bad state. I thought it was the drive and so I put in a different drive. This time the Windows install went through but then another BSOD on Windows Updates. I got it back up. It seemed stable for a bit. Then I started updating drivers. BSOD again. Got it stable again by tweaking the speed and timings in the bios. Then I dared tried a Windows 11 upgrade. BSOD again.

As It turns out, this memory is NOT on Asus's compatibility list for the aforementioned MOBO. I bought a Corsair set that IS on their compatibility list. And guess what? No issues since (knock on wood).

I give it four stars because I'm sure this is a good module set. However, I did take a star off for the blanket "Support AMD motherboards" statement.

This is the best ram I've ever bought and when I build computers for someone else I always recommend getting this ram right now I'm running a 5600x on a MSI MAG tomahawk I've undervolted to 1.1volt and overclocked to 4200mhz cl 18.18.18.36 the fastest ram I've ever had this is the 2nd buy for my PC's the first set Is now running for 2 years already the 2nd Ive had for a week or so for my streaming PC
