Switching out my 256GB Acer Aspire 315 m.2 SSD to this 1TB drive was a breeze.Just create a recovery drive on a USB flash drive, open the device, swap the old SSD out with the new blank one; plug in the USB drive, boot from it, and after literally 30 minutes the new OS was up and running.4k Random read/writes on this drive are about as fast as my old desktop burst read/writes.I realized my laptop only has PCIe Gen 3, and this device is Gen4 compatible. So the burst read and writes could be even faster.The drive easily maxed out my PCIe transfer speeds doing +3GB/s.I presume it's even faster on a PCIe Gen 4 slot.The only thing I didn't like was the sticker on the modules, doesn't really help with cooling the drive.In the short 1GB tests, the drive reached 80C, which is on the high side.I seriously would recommend for those installing it on a Gen4 slot, and transferring more than 5GB of data at a time, to take off the sticker off the drive, and crazyglue an aluminum metal plate of about 1mm thickness to it, as a heat sink.Using crazy glue still allows for heat to be transferred, and aluminum is light and good in conducting heat, so it works well in laptops.Or, if you have the space (like in a desktop), just get yourself a clip on heat sink of sorts, or glue some smaller heat sinks to the chips itself.As is, for gaming and windows operations, this drive is just perfect.

I got this to upgrade a new laptop that simply didn't have enough storage. It was fast and easy to install it in my Dell laptop, fortunately - just open the 8 screws, pull off the lid, and swap it out. Some systems might be harder.
Getting it working was a little harder, as I had to manually reinstall Windows and put my software on. If I was migrating from an old system to a new one, I'd have done a lot of backups, but this was nice and easy.
Performance is great. Haven't had any issues with all that space; it just runs and doesn't complain. I've had a few SP drives before and these always work well. No regrets!

I tried this in an enclosure as a backup on a Mac (M2). Formatting the drive as APFS encrypted seemed to work, but the drive died when transferring over 30 GB, so it ended up as a big headache.
After several frustrating attempts, I tried it in a different enclosure, and it seemed to work fine.
Other NVMe SSDs have not seemed so particular in the past.
Unless your use case is similar, this should work for you (and if you try it as an external, you might try different enclosures).

I'm using this with the Raspberry Pi 5 in a Neo 5 case. The SSD runs at about 60 degrees C, which seems high, but below the throttling threshold. The installation scripts only work in Raspberry Pi OS, but I had already set the Pi up for nvme boot, so they weren't needed. If it keeps on working it will be a good value for money.

The first one I ordered was apparently damaged in shipment and never arrived. I had to spend some time with Amazon to get the refund (shipment was "Fulfilled by Amazon"), but I did succeed in the end. I ordered a second time and it came promptly with no issues.

I had purchased because my old HDD had gone out and I had already lost all that data so this disk going out was not the cause of any meaningful data loss, which would be on me anyway as you should always back up. I went through their RMA and they were awesome and sent me a replacement drive once they received the original drive.
