I was using Olaplex 4,5 &6, spending way too much money and my hair was just coming out every time I shampooed and conditioned. I decided to switch back to this rice, water bar shampoo. I’ve never tried the conditioner before, but I thought I would give them both a shot. First I want to say they both work amazing! The first use, I hardly had any hair falling out and it just improved after each use to where there was practically no hair in the drain when I was done shampooing and conditioning my hair. those are all the pros. There only one big con is the conditioner is made out of different ingredients and it just disintegrated into pieces way too fast. I made sure I didn’t put it under hot water bought that little cubby that you see in my pic away from the water to ensure it wasn’t constantly getting wet and melting away, and this still happened! Hence the reason for only four stars, I will continue to use the shampoo, but I was so disappointed with the conditioner I’m not spending money just to have it crumble into pieces.

I am an olaplex girlie.. thru and thru.. but I've also had a lot of (at home) bleach in my hair over the last year bc I couldn't afford to keep up w it at a salon so I've done some DAMAGE. I went to a water park that must have had massive amounts of chlorine in it bc my hair felt like hay afterwards and no matter how many times I washed it .. it just wasn't the same. I got some swimmers shampoo and used it twice and it has helped a LOT.. however.. now that I've solved that crises ... (after also hacking away about 6 inches in the mirror one night at 1 am bc I was SO fed UP with it) I am desperate to repair my hair and get it back long ASAPPPPPP. I have been wanting to try this brand for a LONGGGG time bc I think it's soo cute and different than regular shampoos.. but I was also nervous bc I'm so used to superrr expensive stuff. I took the risk bc it was on sale. Let me tell youuuuu. I just used it for the first time and WOW. I'm a fan. My hair was soo soft.. even just after washing out the shampoo.. and super manageable after washing out the conditioner which is something I'm not used to in the shower.. I could run my fingers through it .. which I haven't been able to do in a LONG time. I got out and brushed it and it was like butttaaaaa. Soooo soft. I didn't even want to put any leave-in in it bc I wanted to see how soft it would be when it dried.. but I'm a creature of habit and my hair is BAD right now. I put a few sprays of Its a 10 in it and I am sooo excited to see it tomorrow morning when I wake up. 10/10 would recommend. WILL BE GETTING MOREEEEEEEE.

I was sick of my hair getting greasy fast, having dandruff and itchy scalp, and my hair used to just look and feel gross. I had heard that using bar shampoo and conditioner was better for your hair and environment so I wanted to try it. I stumbled upon this product with a lot of buyers and good reviews, and I had previously heard great things about rice water so I figured I’d try it out. Literally after the FIRST USE I went into work and one of my coworkers commented on how healthy and shiny my hair looked. I could feel that the itchy was went away, and didn’t see any dandruff in my hair. I have been using it for half a year now, and my hair feels thicker and healthier, it doesn’t get greasy as fast and it smells good, I wake up in the morning to zero tangles and my hair is almost waist length. I’ve found that the shampoo lathers REALLY well, and the conditioner works best if you let it sit for 5-10 minutes in your hair before washing, leaving your hair feeling silky smooth. 100% worth trying.

I really love the shampoo and conditioner bars (TBH this is my first bar purchase for my hair). The shampoo lathers nicely and the conditioner feels silky. Both products rinse out well which is huge if you have fine, thin hair like me. My only hesitation is that I have had the same 16 oz bottle of PM2 shampoo for at least 8 mionths and on my first use of these bars, they seem to be melting away very quickly. I’m sure it’s impossible to make a more sturdy bar that also lathers up well. I just don’t like the statement that this one bar will replace 2 bottles of shampoo. I seriously don’t think so. The eco conscious me will keep trying to get something that will save the bar from disintegrating in my shower. (It’s on an upper shelf that does not catch water on a drainable ‘soap sponge holder’). I will update to let you know how long it really lasts. Cheers!

I initially purchased these hair care products directly from the mfg. along with the recommended netting bags, because many shampoo’s cause me to have scalp irritation, and some hair products also cause my white hair to grab unwanted colors. I also purchased these products because I was going out of the country for an extended period of time, and I didn’t want added weight in my luggage, nor did I want to deal with the TSA & liquids. I wanted to make travel as easy as possible.
I have now been using this shampoo/conditioner for one year. My hair is much shinier and although I can’t prove it, my hair feels and appears thicker. I am so happy to find that these shampoo/conditioner can now be purchased as a packaged deal for less, through Amazon. Since I have short hair, I have used 2 bars of shampoo over the last year, and the initial conditioner bar is only half used. I am happy with the results of these products and I will continue using them.

I shampoo daily and the bar has lasted me now a little over a month and I still have some left. The conditioner is also good but does not last as long for me. I have a lot of curly hair that tangles easily so I do use more than normal. One bar only lasted a month for me but I love the product so far. Leaves my hair feeling so soft. Buying more types to try. Definitely recommend trying it!

I am so amazed… these work great! If you tend to you more conditioner than shampoo, I’d recommend getting an extra conditioner bar as it is smaller than the shampoo bar. I found myself needing more container by the time I was 2/3-3/4 done using the shampoo bar. I would also suggest invest in a soap saver bag or making one for when the bars get too thin and they snap or break. The instructions say to layer the products in one’s hand then apply them to the hair, but I’d recommend you to lather the product directly into wet hair for the best result. These have lasted 2 months for me (give or take)!

Here is my honest review: Been using this duo since the end of May every couple days as I have wavy-ringlette natural hair and it gets greasy fast. For years I've been using curl specific products which are good but have seen a lot of hype about kitsch so I thought why not. My hair has been in kind of a slump lately and needs something different. Well...let me tell you, the shampoo bar strips all the gunk out of my hair from products and the conditioner is very lovely. I find when I'm combing in the shower with my conditioner in, it is a tad more tangly but easily manageable. I'm not sure about extra hair growth yet as my hair grows super slow and I do tend to lose quite a bit of hair due to perimenopause, however I've actually stopped putting any gel in my hair after. I just use the kitsch shampoo/conditioner duo now with a couple of my Olaplex products and my curls are soft, springy and hold all day. I gave it a true test yesterday and was outside in a lot of wind that normally would destroy my hair and be a royal nightmare. But to my surprise my curls were just fine. Day 2 after wash I just spritz some water on, scrunch and go. Frizz is minimal compared to when I was using gel products for whatever reason and my hair doesn't feel gross or grimy anymore. Will definitely be using this moving forward. Obviously if you have a hair type that requires product to hold it, then do what you need to do. Anyway, this is what works for me and my experience which I'm sure won't work for all. But I live in frozen Canada (Alberta), it's super dry here and hard on curls. Really happy with this set.

It's not like having shampoo in a bottle that I'm used to and my hair feels the same.
I'm prone to greasy hair if I don't wash enough or if I was it too often that's worse as then my scalp produces more oil.
Anyway the bars are about half way now I wash my hair 3 times a week, they smell ok the conditioner bar is going down faster than the shampoo bar for some reason.
The bars lather well too
