I think this 360 AIO knocks it out of the park for the performance/value equation. My Ryzen 5 7600X maxes out at 85 degrees under full load and at 5.5 Ghz. Yes, I will be soon upgrading to one of the new Ryzen 9000 CPUs, but I know this will work for whatever I throw at it.
The pump is incredibly quiet. I have to feel the slight vibrations on the hoses to know it is running. The soft white LED lighting on the pump is a nice touch and looks great. I cannot speak to the supplied cooling fans, but the Phanteks units are great.
One of the other reasons I went with this, was that the hoses are very long, at 450 mm, and as I have a large case, I was concerned about a front mounted radiator and hose distance to the CPU, but this unit worked out fine, like the radiator was made for my be Quiet! 901 Dark case. If I had known that water cooling was this good and easy, I would have switched a long time ago. Sure, the pump will fail sometime down the road, but I will just have to get a new one then. Very impressed!
TLDR:
---------------------------
This cooler is really really good, I own a Ryzen 7 5800x and a 7700x, both of which are extremely heat dense 8 core processors, which means that they are quite possibly the MOST heat dense SKUs in AMD's product stack for their generations. Even with this however, both of my chips run extremely chilly.
---------------------------
Performance:
---------------------------
My 7700x is delidded, so you will likely experience worse temperatures than noted here, but the important thing is the difference in temps after upgrading to this AIO. On my previous Thermalright PA120 SE at stock settings my 7700x would peak at around 90C on the CPU cores. Not bad for a chip that usually runs at 95C at lower clocks than i was getting due to the boost algorithm. However with this cooler, it is rare to see a core go above 75C, even under full load, all the while bouncing around 5.4Ghz, which is pretty fantastic.
---------------------------
Ease of installation:
---------------------------
While i cannot speak to the installation on Inte
platforms, the AM4/5 installation is about as easy as it gets. Unscrew the default AMD stock cooler mounting brackets, run a few screws through the ID Cooling AM4/5 brackets and red standoffs, then screw the coldplate/pump combo onto the installed brackets. Really easy stuff. You may need to push down on the cooler just a bit to get the second screw to latch on after locking the first into place, but it's really not too bad at all.
The fan and radiator install process is also easy as pie. The provided fan screws fit comfortably into their screwholes, as do the mounting screws for the radiator. All screws involved use a standard phillips head and (at least as far as i can tell) don't seem too prone to stripping, an issue i've had trouble with on some other budget coolers in the past.
My only real gripe, and this is extremely minor, is that the tolerances for the screwholes are fairly tight, which means that my extremely budget cooler lacks clearance for the topmost radiator mounting screws, as the radiator tubes keep the screwholes just barey out of allignment. This is 100% an issue with my case, not the cooler, but do keep in mind that tolerances ARE tight if you have a similarly low quality desktop case.
---------------------------
Noise levels and misc fan things
---------------------------
The pump is very quiet, and the fans are audible though not loud, but lack any whine, so all around very pleasant on the noise side of things.
The fans themselves aren't fantastic (this is a budget cooler after all) but they get the job done well enough. Performance fiends may want to consider upgrading to Arctic's P12 Max fans, but in my opinion this is totally unecessary.
---------------------------
Blurb about the first defective cooler
---------------------------
I am reasonably confident that the reason this first cooler was in such a bad state compared to the second one is due to the previous owner, but i cannot be certain so i am including this anyway as a very tentative warning. Sort of a "just in case" for prospective buyers.
The first cooler was almost impossible to install. The small bracket on the pump block which mounts to the motherboard brackets were seemingly slightly warped which made mating the second screw to the bracket nearly impossible. I ended up needing to grab a friend to push down hard with the screwdriver while i pressed the pump block down just to get both screws locked into place... not ideal.
Even more annoying was that the radiator screwholes for fans and case mounting were either not tapped at all, or so badly cross threaded that is was nearly impossible to screw the thing into place.
Worst of all was that the motherboard mounting bracket broke, and the mounting screw snapped off, lodged inside of the pump block. I lack the tools to remove a stuck screw, and even if i did have them, it's honestly just not worth it, as i'd also need to replace the screw on the bracket itself.
I have included this last portion because i feel it is important to be honest, but again, i do seriously doubt that this was a manufacturer defect, as such wildly variable quality of parts is almost unfathomable. The first cooler was bad in every possible respect, whereas the second was effectively perfect. That doesn't really happen as far as i've seen.

One of the best things about this cooler is its cooling performance. It does a much better job at keeping my CPU cool than the stock Intel box cooler did. The only downside is that it can be a little noisy, but it's not too bad.
I will say that I did have some trouble fitting the cooler into my PC case, but I think that was more of an issue with the case than the cooler itself.
One thing I really appreciate about the ID-COOLING DASHFLOW 240 is that it only has minimal lighting. Some coolers can be really over the top with the LED lighting, but this one keeps it subtle and understated. It's just a white LED, which looks really nice and isn't too distracting.
Another thing to mention is that the brushed finish on the cooler looks really elegant. It has a high-end, premium feel to it that I really enjoy.
Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase of the ID-COOLING DASHFLOW 240. It looks great, has excellent cooling performance, and isn't too loud. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in need of a new CPU cooler. It's a solid choice that is sure to keep your CPU running at optimal temperatures.
