When I ordered my gaming PC, i tried to save on the costs of the build by scrimping on the SSD drive. It very quickly got to maximum storage and I was storing games on external USB drives.

Then wondering way games were taking ages to load.

Ended up looking at reviews online looking at what would be the best storage for things like games.

The HDD was the slowest, then SSD, and the fastest was the NVMe SSD. So for the budget I had, it was an SSD with more memory, or the NVMe which is faster but less memory.

I went for the 4TB NVMe and it didn't disappoint.

I had to check that my CPU had the NVMe slot and luckily it does have one. Gutted it doesn't have two to be honest, as installing this was very easy and took 2 minutes. It doesn't require cables to the CPU nor does it require any power.

Managed to transfer all my games to it no problem, the CPU recognised the new SSD with just a few clicks. Games are running better and loading up much faster. Still got loads of memory left.

Probably the best upgrade I've made for the PC yet.
