About this item

  • FLUID DYNAMIC BEARING: Long service life, silent operation at low speeds and powerful performance at maximum speed. All P12 Max fans sold by ARCTIC are now equipped with fluid dynamic bearing. Please note that products from resellers may still be sold with double ball bearings.
  • DESIGNED FOR PERFORMANCE: Due to the high static pressure, the fan guarantees efficient cooling even with increased air resistance. Suitable for use on heat sinks & radiators
  • WIDE RPM RANGE: Thanks to the 4-pin connector, the speed can be controlled via PWM. Below 5 % PWM the fan stands still, above 5 % it is infinitely variable between 200-3300 rpm
  • PROVEN FAN DESIGN: The closed ring fan wheel enables low-vibration rotation at high speeds and strong resistances while maintaining high static pressure
  • OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE: Most powerful 120 mm fan, 25 years of experience, direct customer support, many years of spare parts supply, CO2 neutral company

The best fan for water cooling
5 out of 5 stars
The best fan for water cooling
I have a custom water loop in my PC and I can truly feel the air pushes out of the radiator by these fans - even at low RPM.Nevertheless, this fan does have its downside. Since this fan operates from 0 to 3300 RPM with dual ball-bearings, they are a beast when it comes to noise. To achieve near silent operation, you'll need to control it through PWM in the range of 15 to 25%.Another downside is the lack of RGB. However, I had enough RGB in my Case already. I don't mind a bit less light coming out of my PC.

The performance is great, pulls and pushes tons of air even in cases that have restricted intake like my nzxt h510, build quality is great, quite a hefty and rigid fan. As for noise a lot of reviews complain about the p12 Max making a very annoying high pitched noise, it is somewhat true, I noticed that whenever I mount the fan horizontally (so for my h510 that would be the top fan slot) it makes that high pitched noise a lot of people have talked about. This happened with all three of the p12 max fans I bought when mounted horizontally, but when I mount the fans vertically the high pitch noise is completely gone and it sounds good.

Pros: weighty, solid build and easy to install. I’ve added 4 fans, each to their own header and no daisy chain or control module.

Reduced case, gpu and cpu temps by 8-10c under full load in my games, with a proper fan curve I barely ever hear it running now (for reference I use a NZXT H510 Flow case, 3080, 11700k with AiO)

Cons: The db levels are low, however they are audible in a quiet room but not as volume, just a sound, a clear pitched sound - only those sensitive to audio will hear it from 1m away.

Overall, 100% worth the small amount of money, per fan. Not 100% silent but you’d only get that with Noctua.

Good and powerful, value for money, easy to instal.Bought 2 of them for my desktop to replace some stock ones for better cooling.Aftet replacing the ones I had, system, pch and Mos temperature dropped with about 5-7°C.Only issue is that they can get a bit noisy when running above 70% capacity. Not a problem if you use headphones for gaming.

These seem to suffer pretty badly from resonance, at certain RPMs you'll hear "Whum whum whum" and at others you'll hear a skittering sound coming from the bearings. They're quiet on paper, but the sound they do make isnt pleasant. The standard p12s seem to make a more pleasing sound and don't suffer from the resonance issues as badly. That said, if you need extreme cooling and noise isn't a problem these are very very good. Airflow is fantastic.

Can be a bit loud at high speeds, but that's to be expected.

Whisper quiet on lower speeds.

Pushes an insane amount of air.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fan but DON'T Overpay
Reviewed in Canada on 26 September 2023
Style Name: 1 Piece, blackVerified Purchase
This is a superior fan at its regular price of around 16 - 18 dollars Canadian.

If it's listed for more than thar you are being gouged or even ripped offf in my opinion and should not buy from that seller. This fan is very popular right now and pretty hard to find and sadly there are sellers trying to take advantage of this.

That said the P12 Max is a great fan. It's very quiet but still pushes a ton of air. I've found it more than competitive for most cooling tasks. Really for around $18 Canadian it's amazing.

The bottom line is for 16-18 dollars Canadian I don't think there's another fan on the market that can compete with it. Of course if you need to push max air and decibels aren't an issue something like Phanteks T30 is obviously superior but for 80% of the people and use cases this is the fan to get imo - that is if you're not being gouged on price by a greedy seller.

I hope you found this review helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very, very good with one important caveat (dual-ball bearing)
Reviewed in the United States on 28 June 2023
Style Name: 1 Piece, blackVerified Purchase
Pushes a lot of air and is very quiet for a given RPM. If you need a fan that can blow as much air as this can at 3300 RPM, it's a no brainer. Great performance.

The caveat is the dual-ball bearing design. It creates a very subtle high-pitched sound audible especially at low RPMs. I do not like the overall sound profile particularly, but I still like the fan because I really have to get close and listen carefully for it to be that noticeable when the fan is in my case when the case is fully assembled. Different story when my case is open and I'm tweaking things, obviously.

I didn't run into the QC issues a lot of other people seem to have, so there's that. If you get a good one and are not irritated by the sound profile, it's one of the best values on the market.

Comunque complessivamente il rumore è accettabile anche al massimo dei giri. Ne ho installate 4 su cinque
