I was wondering if this fan would be as quiet as a similarly-priced unit with rubber mountings. But I needn't have worried. This ARCTIC unit was so quiet that I couldn't hear it under normal temperature operating conditions. I had to place my hand in the output air stream to reassure myself that is was working.

This is cool tiny fan with insanely high rpm, suitable for server rooms where noise is not an issue, I bought this to run it on low rpm and occasionally on max when required, but the bearings inside was making an audible noise regardless of rpm. Ordered a an other one from the brown brand for 6 EUR more, it came with a fancy box and lots of accessories and makes no sounds on low rpm, but lacks the high rpm.
