Bought the SSD in order to upgrade from 1TB to 2TB as I was running out of space for gaming. I cloned my 1TB drive in 1hour. Swapped the location of the drives, changed boot sequence in bios and then formatted the 1TB drive. Since then I have booted from the Lexar drive without issues. Flight Simulator and Ratchet & Clank run as well as they did on my other drive.I have only owned it for a few weeks and hope that it will last for several years.

It's a great purchase considering the storage and the speed. The storage size is not real 2TB considering that is 2e12 bytes which results in about 1.8TB. This is a market practice that I consider not fair. Anyway, it values the purchase.

I know I'm not going to get the full speed potential of this drive in an external enclosure but I wanted to expand the storage on my Mac Mini without paying the manufacturer's cost. This drive is reasonably priced and so I thought I would try it in an external enclosure, hoping for something as quick as the internal SSD at least.

So, I avoided the £20-£30 enclosures and decided I on a Thunderbolt 40GBps enclosure, specifically the GiGimundo AJM40C NVMe Enclosure. It's at the cheaper end of the market (sub £80 at time of writing). I installed this Lexar drive which was well packaged in minutes, plugged it in and formatted it.

Buying 512GB from Apple would have meant a £200 uplift in price, this Lexar and enclosure were just under £126 but that gets me an additional 1TB instead of an extra 256GB at a lower price. So, I ran some speed tests and compared with my Mac Mini Apple Internal 256GB SSD, hoping for good results. The read/write speeds on the internal SSD are 1513.7/1409.9MBps. On this drive in an external enclosure, I'm getting 2757.0/2465.7 respectively. A very decent uplift in performance, at a low (compared to Apple) cost. I know I'm not getting the most in terms of speed out of this drive but in a cheap(ish) enclosure and for a reasonably low cost, I'm happy to be getting faster speeds than the internal drive.

So far, happy and pleased with the drive!

Probé instalándolo en ambos puertos M.2 y el disipador incorporado no molesta ni debajo del disipador del CPU ni tampoco debajo de la gráfica, manteniendo las temperaturas (en mi caso) debajo de los 50 grados C.
Considero que es un producto con excelente relación calidad/precio.
