As AMD released bios update for x370 motherboards I bought 5800x but after applying ram overclock I got error code that it's not enough power. So I tried this cord/cableActually now CPU busts higher and I can squeeze all of my gskill 3200 MHz 14cl ram.I'm really glad with this purchase.. I done some research online... But most forums website said you don't need 8+4 pin but ye... There I am writing review with hope it will help someone too!Sorry for PC pic it's bit dusty and cord was plugged in in rush to find out will it work.Basically buy it it works saved me lots of money for not buying x570 motherboard

Upgraded motherboards to an Asus strix B550-F which needs 4+8 pin cpu power, people have said you only need the 8 pin, the extra 4 is only required if over clocking but I just felt better having all plugged in, I actually didn't seat the 8 pin properly at first and it still posted but warned me I shouldn't run it on the 4 pin only
