Great for a budget setup!

Great for a budget setup!
Purchased this early summer 2023 for my son's gaming setup. Paired with Xbox Series S, keyboard and mouse. The inputs/outputs are great. I connected an older Sony speaker via aux cord from the earphone jack for deeper sounds, as the monitor speakers don't have much bass. The 2 Display Ports and 2 HDMI ports are great. I have the Xbox and Switch connected via HDMI and the DP allows for a future PC connection. Fortnite plays great at 120 hz/fps. Minecraft plays great via keyboard/mouse or controller as well. Over all, my son and I are very happy with the purchase.

Top reviews from the United States

I very rarely review products, but given the short history this company has and my experience, I felt it necessary to review this PX7 Prime monitor.

As the lowest priced monitor with the specs listed, this was a mixed feeling going into the purchase. I hadn't heard of Pixio until I started actively searching for monitors, but at the price point below even the budget Asus monitors, I looked into it. The stats on the monitors were excellent for how they were priced, but I wasn't sure if that was the right move or not. I gambled on it and ordered 3 to replace my aging 23" Dell work monitors, knowing I'd be using these for gaming as well.

First off, the order came in about a week earlier than indicated, which was awesome. I've been working remote, so an early arrival wasn't an issue. Just remember to check your shipping information (mine were sent FedEx) and tracking. The shipping company is going to be the best bet over the Amazon tracking.

They arrived with only some minor damage in the outer box. They were shipping in a "shell" box over the nice, red consumer-friendly box, so that didn't bother me. I still verified the main boxes were damage free before opening them. I tested each monitor individually, on all 3 ports (both DisplayPorts and the single HDMI) before I proceeded with keeping them. They checked out great (no dead pixels), so I went ahead and mounted them.

Running them on my home machine, I was blown away. Now, keep in mind, I'm hardly a professional gamer, merely an avid dabbler, nor am I a graphic designer. However, when it comes to my experience compared to Xbox and PC gaming on a 4K TV, going to the smaller 27" 1440 monitor was an upgrade. The refresh rate of 165hz makes things insanely clear and fluid, and yes, the Steam FPS counter did confirm that it can hit 165 FPS (tapped it a few times in GTA V and Skyrim). For comparisons, I'm running an EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Black Edition with an i9-9900k, so your mileage may vary.

On my work laptop, text is clearer, WAY more real estate than before, and the color/brightness is certainly improved over my old monitors.

If there's one gripe, it's brightness. It's VERY bright, to the point I had to drop it down to 50 on the monitors, just to keep eye strain down. That's something I can adjust, so I'm not knocking any stars for that.

Either way, if you're considering a Pixio product, and especially the PX7 Prime, know that you're getting an outstanding product for the money. It's only been a few days since I've had these, but no dead pixels and no issues thus far.

P.S. KEEP THE BOX THE MONITOR CAME IN!!! If there's a need for service, shipping back in the original box assures safe transport.

Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2020
I purchased this monitor in December of 2019 in conjunction with my EVGA RTX 2080 Ti and i9-9900K build. I will definitely say after 3 months of use, this monitor is 100% worth it and works perfectly with G-SYNC settings. While I can confirm that the monitor does get a bit hot on the underside of the panel, it has had zero impact on performance while playing intense games that demand a lot from my computer and the monitor itself. The 27 inch display with IPS is absolutely beautiful on this monitor, especially with HDR capabilities. HDR and turning on Freesync to work with G-SYNC takes two seconds to enable with the easy access menu of the monitor, and if you don't like HDR and want other preferred picture settings, it's easy to do that as well.

What I've also noticed is that anyone who does have issues with HDR set-up, lots of triple A games and even some indie games have HDR calibration settings within their game menus that help configure the brightness of the monitor's HDR. You can also tweek the PX7's brightness before switching to HDR. If you are looking for a monitor that has the same capabilities as you find in a G-SYNC monitor (and not wanting to spend the extra 100 dollars for that G-SYNC incorporated premium), I would highly suggest this monitor over it's LG and Acer counterparts. Pixio also has great customer service and is both nice and helpful in any questions you may have with them. Their included warranty is great with the monitor. Assembling this thing is also a piece of cake and disassembling is just as easy. For my first PC build, this monitor was worth every penny. I could definitely see myself buying a second one in the future. Don't listen to the criticisms of people who are too niche and picky about monitors, get what you think is right for you and look beyond basic amazon reviews, even the one I'm writing right now. Go watch videos on the Pixio PX7 Prime, look up other reviews from other sources and do yourself the favor by comparing and researching what's best for you. Pixio beats Acer and even LG to an extent with picture quality, customer service and warranty (especially better than Acer), and just overall looks and performance.

Otherwise, enjoy your adventure and endeavor on finding the right monitor. But from a recent purchase and 3 months experience, I would highly suggest this monitor as one of your options :D

Crazy good for the price. No complaints. Have had it for over a month so far with no issues. Ghosting is quite minimal with overdrive set to medium and MPRT makes ghosting unnoticable. My only complaint is on the stand, im 6'3 and the stand is a little short for me and makes for some awkward viewing angles. Guess you get what you pay for tho.

Does everything I'd hoped for, at a great price. 32". 165hz. 1440p. Good colour (once I'd played about with the settings). All for £220 (on a lightning deal). It's a huge step up from my 27" 1080p 144hz. Not just a bargain, possibly the best value 1440p 32" there is.

5.0 out of 5 stars What an incredible monitor for the price
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 9, 2020
Really is one of the best looking monitors about. Sleek and minimal, it will look great on any desk.

Picture quality out of the box is next level. The colours are ridiculous. Great for gaming. It’s a difficult world to choose from when buying a monitor, but of my options I’m really glad I chose this. Running a 1080p OG PS4 through it with no issues, still looks great.

No backlight issues noticed at all, and no noticed dead pixels. Sturdy build quality from metal and plastic, looks like good quality. Bezels are tiny. Would recommend.
