Great for the price, but ghosting may be an issue for some

Great for the price, but ghosting may be an issue for some
This monitor is pretty good for the price. It is the absolute cheapest option with these specs. However, while viotek advertises a 4ms crystal clear image, there is noticeable black smearing and some ghosting in general. I am particularly sensitive to these types of issues, and this monitor stands out as having a fairly slow pixel response time.It has never caused me to be at a competitive disadvantage though, and in 99% of situations it merely looks like there is an 'extra-low' motion blur option on in a game. The image is still quite sharp, and with the high resolution and large size of the panel I can still make out most fine details while moving the camera around. The colors are much better than my old TN panel, and the brightness and contrast in general stand out as very good. The menu buttons are clumsy, but even if I were switching inputs frequently it would not prevent me from buying this monitor. The stand is absolutely horrible. It takes up a lot of space on the desk and does not inspire confidence. This can be remedied by purchasing a quality monitor arm. Also, contrary to the "zero dead pixel" policy, my unit arrived with exactly one dead pixel. I won't return it over a single pixel, as I can't see it except for on a black screen, but it is disappointing.I would purchase this monitor again. Even with the ghosting, I am happy with my purchase. It is a big step up from a 24" 144hz tn panel. However, if I ever get back into a few fast paced esports games, I will probably play them on my faster TN panel.

Ok, so this is day 1. I realize things may change over time, but right out of the box I am loving this monitor. Zero dead pixels. Beautiful colors and sharpness. Playing Division 2 and the change from my previous 24" Asus monitor is just ridiculous. I feel like I'm gaming at a movie theater. I am no expert and don't have any tools to measure things like response rate, but I sure haven't noticed any ghosting or lag or anything. It plays super smooth. It defaulted to 2560x1440 when I hooked it up, although at 60hz. It was simple to change it to 120 or 144hz though in my graphics settings.

I read a couple of reviews from people saying the monitor was a little dark even at 100% brightness. I have no idea what they were seeing, but this came set to 90% from the factory and it was so bright I couldn't stand to look at it. I have turned it all the way down to 20% and it's now comfortable on my eyes. YMMV but it's way more than bright enough for me.

All the features are working. The audio out for my headphones is fine. Display port and HDMI ports (all 3) work. Picture in Picture works great. i have my work laptop connected as a second input and can switch between it ansd my personal PC easily. One thing to note, there is a Picture Beside Picture option for dual inputs where the screen is halved and you can see both inputs at the same time. It works, but it screws the resolution up where everything so distorted it's not really useable. I've fiddled with other (lower) resolutions but that didn't help much. Maybe I'll try a custom resolution if I can set it. 1280x1440 might work.

Overall I am extremely pleased at the initial experience. I was a little worried that a "cheap", lesser known brand monitor might have issues but it's solid and beautiful. Would buy another in a heartbeat.

Look, I felt like I was taking a risk buying this thing with all the weird negative reviews I was seeing. I shouldn't have worried, though. This thing looks looks phenomenal and plays incredibly smooth on the Series X.

    PROS:
+ The display, even when set to 1080p and 120hz, is gorgeous. Granted, I was coming from a fairly old (albeit very nice) Samsung 1080p 48 inch TV.
+ In comparison to my old display, there is little to no input lag and movement (thanks to that frame rate) looks ultra smooth.
+ I thought 32 inches would be too big for a desk setup but it ended up being perfect. I sit maybe 3-4 feet off the monitor and there isn't a pixel to be seen.
+ It is more vibrant in color than I thought it would be. I had no idea The Outer Worlds or Assassins Creed Odyssey could look so good.
+ It doesn't feel cheaply made. It's sturdy, and the stand is all metal. It even has a convenient headphones hook on the back.

    CONS
    – ***You can't currently run this thing at 1440p at 120hz on a Series X. You can on PC, but not a console. You can flip back and forth between 1440p at 60hz or 1080p at 120hz. But trust me, this is nowhere near as bad as you think it is, especially if you're used to console gaming. This monitor will likely surprise you, especially for the price***
    – It isn't very adjustable. Can basically tilt up and down to a minimal degree. Keep in mind that it's large and cumbersome for a monitor, so it may not be the best size for some setups.
    – It doesn't have speakers. You always need a headset or external speakers to play.

All in all, for the price: unbeatable. I'm super happy. Shooters play smooth and snappy, and RPGs look incredible. Great choice for the new gen consoles if you're on a budget (you probably should be in these times lol).

I play games but this was more for day trading so i didnt want to spend too much for a larger monitor. I have a previous model from viotek as well, the gn32dr. Compring the 2, i like the licture quality and brightness on this model but the stand is definitely lower quality. The older model was a tripod that took up a good chunk of desk space but was SOLID....that thing never moves/wobbles. This model is only a 2 leg stand and the monitor when a train comes by my house. Although it has some movement, its not to the point of concern where you think it will fall off or anything like that; its just not quite as stable as the previous model. That being said this was about $70 cheaper than that model so investing in a mount may be a way to fix that if its an issue for you.

No dead pixels, had it out of box and usable within 5 minutes or so. I would definitely buy this again. Viotek is a nice budget brand for good quality and high refresh rate without spending >$400+

3 year no dead pixel warranty made me feel comfortable making this purchase.

Just something to consider....some people are hard to please and some of the bad reviews i read were nitpicky and not things i would be concerned about like response being 4ms vs 1ms and the brightness, which i see nothing wrong with. Picture quality looks good to me and fit my budget. No complaints here after 2 weeks of use. Ill update if anything changes
