Excellent Budget Mouse, May Surprise You!

Coming from a Steelseries Rival 310, I wanted something very similar with just a few more buttons. This was the only mouse in my sub $50 price range that checked all the boxes.
Given it's price of $29.99 I was skeptical that it would live up to or exceed my expectations.

Upon first inspection the the mouse actually looks really good, it feels much more premium than I expected. Buttons have a satisfying click, tracking has been excellent for me personally. The extra side buttons work great, and are customizable with their software.
The rubber material on the sides feel great, I hope it lasts.

Overall this is really a great mouse for the price. I really didn't think I'd find something that feels this good and works this well for only about 30 bucks. I just hope it lasts for years to come. It has so far exceeded my expectations as a $30 mouse. I think it probably gets overlooked by those looking at other brands.

What can I say other than this is a fantastic mouse. I was a little skeptical about it because of the price, but once I tried it out I knew this is underrated and a great value. First, this mouse is beautiful and the clicks are satisfying. The Omron switches definitely help with that. Its fairly lightweight if your looking for a pure fps type mouse. Most mice with this type of sensor are going to cost much more, let alone the beauty of it helps with that value. The braided cable is solid so far and has not been in my way at all. I have large hands and sometimes I really have to be picky. This mouse is just large enough to be comfy without being too small. I enjoy the full grip of a g602, but this one is not as wide with a nice contour to it and I have no issues here. I have been playing games like Deadside and enjoying that sensor immensely. Its a fantastic buy if you can get it for under fifty bucks and at MSRP, its still worth it. I do not use this as a daily driver, I use this as a more situational mouse for fps, but it could double for anything you want. The side buttons have a fantastic feel and the scroll button has a nice feel also.

My only real gripe is the software, but since Ngenuity is in beta, this is forgivable as I am a big fan of Kingston and HyperX in general. I have faith that it will improve over time. Ngenuity has not given me any real problems and has been fairly straight forward. For once with HyperX, I feel that the build quality may not hold up forever, but I would love to see this mouse in a lightweight semi-hollow honeycomb frame, then it would have to be up there with some of the best mice available. Keep'em coming HyperX!

Disclaimer: I’ve only had ~2 days with this mouse so far. I mostly play WoW but play other games on the side such as BO4/CS.

Edit: 12/5/19. Everything I said below has remained completely true for the entire year+ that I’ve had this mouse. It feels really good, it’s very durable and it looks really nice. No tracking issues, no left/right click issues that plague other mice, no durability issues, etc. It’s worked extremely well for me since I bought it. Very happy overall.

Review:

1. Feel: This mouse feels extremely nice. The grips on the side are made of a very grippable and seemingly durable material. I was able to lift up the mouse so easily I didn’t even notice when I was doing it most of the time as it should be. The ergonomics are great as well, fit perfectly in my hand. Hand size is 6.70 inches. The sensor works perfectly as expected from one of the best on the market. It’s really smooth. The mouse is fairly light in my opinion and glides across the mouse pad nicely.

2. Look: The mouse looks and feels like a professional mouse (if that’s what you wanna call it). The LEDs are very bright and have 3 different patterns (Cycles through colors aka breathing, 1 color mode or no lights). Mouse wheel and logo are very well lit.

3. Durability: As I’ve said I’ve only had it for 2 days so I can only comment on what I’ve felt/seen so far. All of the material looks and feels very durable. I’m hoping this stays true.

4. Software: It’s simple and easy to use. That’s all there really is to say. If you wanna get more in depth you can watch some guides but overall it’s easy to navigate and not riddled with bugs (so far) like Synapse.

TLDR: Feels good, looks good and handles well. Feels well built and durable. Only had it for 2 days and will update the review later down the line but so far so good. Can’t find anything negative to say about it so far but I’m also not a super picky person.
