    Axial-tech Fans:

To keep Turing's temperatures under tight control, we've brought a larger cooler to the table, which necessitates a more powerful and efficient fan that must maintain a whisper-quiet acoustic profile. Axial-tech meets these three design challenges by implementing our latest innovations for fan performance. We've reduced the size of the fan's hub to allow for longer blades and added a barrier ring that increases structural integrity and downward air pressure through the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080's heatsink array. And we've also implemented IP5X dust resistance to seal the fan's internals from particle ingress to keeps things running smoothly. The new design allows Axial-tech fans to shift more air and spin at higher speeds without increasing noise levels.

DirectX 12 Ultimate is the newest version of the API and new gold standard for the next-generation of games. DirectX 12 Ultimate takes games to a whole new level of realism with support for ray tracing, mesh shaders, variable rate shading, and sampler feedback. GeForce RTX is the first and only PC platform with support for these game-changing features.

    Do Not Purchase
Long story short: The gpu broke on me after just 4 months of gaming and was not repaired, refunded or replaced by ASUS RMA or Amazon.Long story: After ordering a ROG high specification card, I plug&played it for about three months happily gaming at 2k resolution. After the consistent performance and nothing wrong for three months, I assumed everything was fine. One evening of gaming into the fourth month, I was playing warzone with all the settings on high and the temperature of the card rose above the 80 C mark, which was it's current software limit (ASUS ROG software) by stock. Then into an hour-long gaming session, a smell of smoke came from my pc case. I stopped gaming, looked over at my pc case to see smoke coming from my graphics card and my image on my monitor froze on a frame, and then when to a black screen. From this point on this GPU didn't post an image out of any port. Spent a few days troubleshooting and followed on with the return/warranty process. The process takes a few hours via the phone talking to someone who informed me of the RMA process was the only thing amazon could do for me as it was too late to return. Amazon refused to help beyond this point after giving the contact info of the ASUS RMA personnel, which I already knew of and possessed. This process was even worse than Amazon's customer service. I filed a report, a few hours later I had a shipping label and sent my card off for repair. After two weeks, I received an email saying that the damage was considered Customer Induced Damage (CID) and the repair would be $700, nearly the price of the card brand new. I refuted the claim twice to no amend, instead of an explanation of how I caused this damage, just CID repeated and a statement saying this isn't a common occurrence of this model. I explained this wasn't CID, it is a manufacturing error due to my basic plug&play use, but my claim was never fully answered. Then I was sent back my card after my second refusal and received it in poor shape. Dissembled and poorly secured, leaving me in a difficult position to send the card to a third-party repair service since it is now out of warranty. I am very disappointed in ASUS ROG product quality, customer service, and ASUS's RMA process entirely. After being a long time customer, spending over $800 on a single product to be treated in this manner is unacceptable. I will be contacting The Better Business Bureau and encourage the PC hardware community from purchasing hardware from Amazon and future ASUS products.

Everyone already knows how good this card is, and how it can be overclocked, etc. No need to rehash all that stuff.

I bought this to run my new 4K gaming monitor, and refresh my old Dell XPS gaming computer with the latest and greatest (under $1K). In that respect, it does it's job very well.

I will only add my experience installing this card, and provide information you will not see elsewhere.

First of all, this card is H-U-G-E. Yes, others have mentioned this but it bears repeating. Within my Dell XPS mid-tower, the card b.a.r.e.l.y fit. I had to stretch and bend internal case metal and take out the hard drive enclosure just to crowbar this thing in. Not sure I'll be able to pull it out without breaking something. It physically makes contact with memory module release handles on one side, so there is no way to remove my RAM modules now, and it physically covers two SATA connections on the other side. I had to move my DVD drive connector, and now there is no space to plug in any more SATA connections. The PCIe power plugs rub against the side of my hard drive - I had to plug them in first and them mount my hard drive after. If this card was a single centimeter bigger in any direction, it would not fit in my case.

My original Dell XPS power supply was not suitable for this card - it had only one 6-pin PCIe x16 power plug, and 450 Watt capacity. This card requires TWO 8-pin PCIe 16x power plugs, and according to the manual you need at least a 650 Watt power supply. I had to purchase a new power supply just to run this card.

I worry about airflow and overheating now that there is this huge thing laying inside the middle of my case, but everything has been stable so far. The fan is pretty quiet, which is very much welcomed. The LED lights are nice, but not very visible stuffed inside a mid-tower case.

It was easy to download and install the latest NVidia drivers. So far everything seems to be working properly.

Wish I had this information - especially the power requirements - before buying this card but couldn't find it anywhere. Hope it helps any prospective buyer.

I bought this when Amazon offered a stretched out payment plan and was looking at higher end cards at the time as my last rig was starting to have issues. Like most the dream card 2080ti is a tough hit on the wallet, and frankly most don't have the rig or monitor to take advantage anyways. That being said, this RTX 2080s card rocks! For a ton less money! I have tossed all the games that tortured my recent 2060s running my large monitor and this card simply waltzes through them on ultra with little effort. ESO, Div 2, Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, Metro Exodus! All run with very high settings. Guys saying their 1080ti is good enough or comparable? I beg to differ!
Big, beefy, lots of tubes and fins, subtle RGB effects, tri fans that are very quiet, you can hear them whine a bit when being pushed though. Much will depend on your own case. With my setup it really never gets a few degrees warmer gaming while OC'd with MSI Afterburner. Bench testing bumped it a few degrees! Mine runs through most games in Afterburner at PL 125, Temp max set 88, CC 100, MC 1100 without a hitch for a good all around and very safe setting. I do have a large Cougar tower with several fans going so I do have alot of quiet cool going on. Be aware, this card was within 2mm length wise of not fitting into a smaller full tower that I have as my backup when I tested it with another build. So make sure you measure before ordering this large beast.
I tested this with three different boards/processors and cases. Two very large monitors and also my custom Samsung Odyssey VR helmet run on Ultra with double the resolution. I say helmet because it is no longer a simple goggle setup. With the Steam code hack which doubles the VR resolution, (Steam has their setting for the much lower resolution Occulus Rift). Running Samsung VR on ultra barely touches RTX 2080s. Most will not need to OC this card at all for any reason. It ended up in my newer MSI 570 pro carbon/3800x build, and of all the cards I have owned. This one I absolutely love. So unless you are on the fringe and just have to have the ti version for whatever reason and have a deep wallet and insane needs, this card will do it all.

This is a fantastic video card. I have not had anything this powerful before and I am happy that I got such a quality product. Combined with the Ryzen R5 3600x in 1440p I can achieve a normal 100+ FPS on any modern game on ultra quality.

Cooling is fantastic. I have three fans at the base of my case that pull cold air in, and the horizontal mounting of this graphics card pull that cold air directly in. The stock thermals on this card are far superior and make it the coolest component in my case even while gaming. Idle temps are usually 35-40 °C and during high loads I have observed it to go up to 80-85 °C.

The RGB syncs well with Jacknet, there is an ROG logo on the top of the card, "Republic of Gamers" written on the front along with some internally visible lights. The lighting remains tasteful. Be warned, this is a large card and you will need a large case to comfortably fit it. I have the LIAN LI PC-O11 and there is roughly an inch of space left between the front of the card and the side of the case.

The GPU itself is awesome. However, as many other have noted, there is a white LED light on the top side of the board that is very visible during use - particularly after shutting down the system (if you don't then turn off the PSU or at the wall). The RGB lighting on the card works well.

This horse clock of a graphics card is really expensive but my god do you get your money's worth in performance. And if anything goes wrong theres a warranty... what's not to like

No complaints so far I'll be back in a month with an update
