    Going Beyond True Clock.

While True Clock locks in a super fast optimal speed on a hardware level, RX Series cards with an OC+ rating are tested at the factory to go even beyond XFX's True Clock. We encourage you to try these factory tested speeds by using the simple to use AMD Wattman utility, letting you squeeze every last bit of performance out of your card.

Great GPU, works fabulously with my Freesync 1440p 144Hz monitor. Games are smooth and immersive. I see a huge improvement over my previous R9 Fury, way more than I expected to be honest.

So far, (with the little time I've had), I have tested out Titanfall 2, Thumper, Star Wars Battlefront, Warframe, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, and The Witness. I was able to max out all of these and stay well within my Freesync range at all times. Frame pacing is very consistent. Just buttery smooth goodness all around. Minimum framerates seem to be noticeably high, and stutters are extremely rare.

The cooler is louder than I would like when under heavy load, but it's a blower cooler, so I knew this going in. Regardless, the sound isn't obnoxious at all in my opinion; it's a very easily ignored, (and almost pleasant), white noise. If you're hypersensitive to noise I'd recommend you either wait for a non-reference cooler or buy a water block for this one. (Or use the included power-save mode in Wattman.) I suspect I'll be able to make it quieter and cooler with a tuned custom fan curve and some undervolting, (apparently Vega undervolts quite well!), but I haven't gotten around to testing the limits of the card just yet.

There is little-to-none coil whine from this GPU depending on the game, unless you're pulling 3000FPS in title menus, in which case; ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As for heat in the room, the heat output of the card is not nearly as much as I expected. I suspect the tales of rooms turning into infernal-fire-and-brimstone saunas may be somewhat exaggerated.

While the power needed to drive the card is somewhat higher than the comparable Nvidia card, the actual cost of electricity is so small that it would take *multiple years* of heavy gaming for it to add up to the cost of what I would have ended paying for a GTX 1080 and a Gysnc monitor.

The physical build quality of the card itself is extremely solid and classy, loving the minimalist design of the card. The GPU tachometer is neat, but not very useful in my opinion. I do appreciate the option to change colors or even turn it off entirely, props to AMD for that.

For what I paid, (499$), I would absolutely recommend this card. The current performance/price is more than acceptable to me, and there is also the possibility of future drivers improving performance. (*cough* Finewine™ *cough*). But as I just said, even if there were no further performance improvements, (which I strongly suspect there will be), I would still be very happy with this purchase.

TL;DR: It's gud. (If you can get it from a retailer that isn't price-gouging.)

AMD reference designs their cards. XFC and anyone else makes them exactly the same. I put this card in with an OEM AMD that was installed in my Alianware Gaming computer. Worked perfectly. Zero issues. Literally plug and play.

One thing to note for Crypto Miners... I thought I would use this card to mine when not using it as a gaming rig. The standard drivers for this card are designed for graphics, not compute. The Blockchain Driver needs to be installed if you want to mine with the cards efficiently. The blockchain driver is built for compute power. It does not have a switch to game with it. To use this card on a gaming rig, it will require uninstalling and reinstalling drivers every time or living with lower hashing power with the standard drivers. That made them worthless for me as a mining card, which is probably why AMD designed them this way. The systems need to be dedicated for one use or the other, not a machine that can do both. At least not easily...

Another thing to note about these cards is the fan is super loud if running above 50%. Mining with the cards can run the fans full blast, which is far to loud for use inside of a home. Gaming isn't too bad, but the fans still can be heard. Something to keep in mind if noise is a problem for you. This issue, however, is not related to XFC. All cards are designed the same way. They are all loud.

Runs any game I've thrown at it at max settings 60fps (including league and overwatch but a potato can run league), I could go higher, I usually cap it at 60fps, because most people cannot perceive past this and I eek out performance in other places. Fan is good at keeping up with temp, decreasing and increasing quite responsively depending on load, with only basic drivers, some other graphics card fans have only 2-3 stages or "gets stuck in one stage". I haven't ran it at max long enough to feel a throttle. The all muscle powerhouse AMD is known for.

I bought this card in order to complete my first build and it runs quite well. I bought this card to complement my Ryzen 7 1700 and for now I've used it to play Various MOBAS and MMOs in which the card runs everything at ultra, hitting 60 frames no problem on my 1440p screen. I also bought it for productivity, and honestly coming from using laptops for my workflow everything is much smoother than the cards I used before which was a 940m. Hopefully it will last me a long time as I'm loving every single day with this card.

Three problems with this order. First, I was shocked that Amazon did not bother to put it into a shipping box, just slapped a sticker on it and shipped it to me in its factory package. I had always been very happy with their packaging. Second, I was planning on using this for a multiple monitor flight simulator setup but could not get all of the monitors working at the same time. (Had 6 monitors working with an RX 480 and MST hub). When I did get 4 of them to work, one of the monitors would go black about every minute or two for a few seconds then come back on. Thought it might be the hub, so I set up just three monitors plugged directly into the card and experienced the same issue. Third, Using the three monitor setup I decided to fire up the sim to see how much of a performance increase there was over the RX480 using the same settings. I did not spend enough time to give a good assessment of any improvement because the temps shot to 80C just sitting at the gate. Giving up and shipping it back.
