What can I say, guess mine was a dud. I ran the usual test to verify capacity and speed and at first every thing seemed good. The available space and speed was right in line with a 64gb 3.1 flash drive; space 59gb, write 80mbs+, read 190mbs+ both exceeded what was written for flash drive capabilities, and then came the ERROR. I have tried to run this test at least 15 times the photos above being the last time. The flash drive has been formatted every which way (NTSF, exFAT, FAT32) just because. I tried to copy several different files and every time within seconds "error". checked my laptop found no faults or errors. I ran same test on several of my other flash drives and every single one completed test with no faults or errors. I copied the same files that caused error with "KingSton" flash to 3 of my other flash drives and each one ran smooth with no faults and no errors. The whole reason why I picked this unit in the first place is due to an article I had read about how reliable and consistent the performance of it was. I am going to see if Amazon will exchange and if that unit is working correctly, I will most likely update review to a 5 start. Other wise the 1 star will have to stand as the unit failed brand new and fresh out of the package.******************UPDATE*******************UPDATE*******************************UPDATE**********************Today (9/24/21) I received the replacement flash drive. This one did not even make it past 1min mark before throwing an error. I tried several time to format and run performance test and each time "error". The longest run was less than 2min. I tried to transfer several different files. Two of them where the same files that I had tried to copy to the first flash drive. Same issue as the first unit, unable to read from original folder or MS-DOS error. I figured some thing has to be going on with either my laptop or corruption in the files? I tried 3 different flash drives from 2 different manufactures both 2.0 and 3.0 usb and was able to copy and transfer all files with no issues. I used several folders with photos from different cameras in both jpeg and RAW format with no issues. I also copied a litter over 5k songs on to 2 of the flash with no issues. Installed the Kingston once again and sure enough only 5 photos where able to be copied all the rest just showed "error". Tried with the music and you guessed it, right around 3% complete and started saying unable to read from original file. By the time 5% was complete it was stopping on almost every song and after skipping about 10 or 11 songs I just hit cancel. Now these exact same files had all just been copied to at least 2 of the other 3 (only used 2 for music) flash drives I mentioned earlier. I really wanted this replacement to work because for the brief time when it is working the write speeds are anywhere from low 80s to low 90s. None of my other flash drives are even close to this speed of writing, but then again all my other flash drives seem to work every time I use them. At this point and time I have already requested a refund and will be sending this unit back tomorrow. Looks like the 1 star rating will have to stand.
