I have previously use external hard drives for backup. Warning, never leave a backup drive attached to your computer or network. If you get a virus, it will find the drive and wipe out your backup as well. It happened to a friend of mine.
So I get out the external hard drive and run my backup program (Images for Windows) periodically. I have two and alternate, in case I back up an infected computer. But eventually, I filled both of them. I was looking for an inexpensive replacement. I found these. Similar price to an external hard drive, but smaller and faster. Doesn't even need its own power. Perfect for backing up my whole computer, applications, household documents, small business documents and photos. I'm very pleased. Probably more reliable and less fragile, too.

Great that it's portable, not so great that it couldn't hold connection. I hoped maybe it was just the cable that it came with, but I tried it on both the included cables AND one of my own. With all three of them, the drive would be recognized, but then would disappear, then be recognized again, then disappear once again from the computer. I could only hold a solid connection if I held the cable to the connector in just the right position. Obviously this is not workable. I returned it.

This is the fastest usb drive that I have used, and I have used many through the years. I think it is an excellent value. I use it infrequently for transferring large amounts of data, but not on a daily basis, so I am willing to put up with the fact that the red button can sometimes slide backwards when installing it into computer. I think I would be very annoyed if I used it as a daily driver, but for me it is awesome.

Die Geschwindigkeit ist wie erwartet schnell.
Die bei Amazon genannten Maße von "27 x 4,3 x 4,3 cm" sind völlig falsch und unbrauchbar. Ich habe lange mit dem Kauf gezögert, weil mir die bei idealo genannte Länge von 78,2 mm zu lang erschien. Tatsächlich gilt diese Länge einschließlich Stecker, für den Transport können 12 mm abgezogen werden.
Ich hatte die Maße mit dem bereits vorhandenen SanDisk Extreme PRO verglichen. Die für den SanDisk veröffentlichte Länge von 71 mm gilt allerdings bei eingezogenem Stecker, so dass der Stick in Wirklichkeit größer ist als der C212 von Teamgroup.

Wirkt beim Anfassen etwas billig (ist superleicht und klappert), aber die Geschwindigkeit ist prima: Meine alte SSD bremst diesen Stick beim Beschreiben aus (200MB/s) und meine neue SSD beim Lesen (400MB/s).
Beide Daumen hoch, wenn man große Dateien sehr schnell kopieren möchte.
