    Update!
    Installed into surface pro 7+ installed windows 11 but upon setting up and updates it freezes but there is an update to this review turns out my surface didn’t like the change so I installed the sp ssd 1tb into a gaming laptop installed windows 11 set it up with email and WiFi turned it off and then swapped it back into my surface it then stopped freezing and now it works!

    I installed this in an Alienware R15 desktop to upgrade the stock SSD. The performance is excellent, the computer boots to Windows 11 in a few seconds. I've been playing Cyberpunk 2077 on it and the load times are minimal. The heatsink maintains a reasonable temperature of the drive. It's substantially faster than the Samsung 980 pro that I was using before. There are faster drives out there, but for the price(around $110 at time of purchase), it's tough to beat.

    Okay, if anyone is wondering if this brand is legit? Rest assured they are. They offer all sorts of storage solutions at a very affordable price tag. I've been using Silicon Power MicroSD cards for years, ever since I got my first 128GB card from them over 10 years ago. I have since given that card to my best friend for his Nintendo Switch and it still runs amazing. So yes, I can attest to the quality of Silicon Power products.

    When I saw they were making NVMe drives? I had to pull the trigger, considering this is a 4TB model that I bought and usually those cost over 300 bucks to get even without a proper hest sink installed, so you're getting a good deal with this one.

    Set up was easy once I opened the bottom of my PS5, however, good luck trying to get the screw and lifter that came with to come loose. It ain't happening and trust me, I tried everything. I ended up getting an alternative screw and the compatible washers, said screw will be M3-0.50 x 10 which you can find at most hardware stores.

    Anyway, once I got it all set up, the drive tested itself and got a 5GB/second speed. Very impressive. It formatted as quick as Sonic the Hedgehog runs and I was off to the races. I immediately transferred all my PS5 installs to the drive and found out I had over 2.5TB worth of installs. Took a few hours to transfer but once I did? That's when the real test began.

    I have been using this pretty much as a daily driver since then and performance wise? This thing is slick. I have not noticed any additional lag when compared to the PS5's internal storage at all and along with that? Load times are just as fast as well.

    Overall, I'm pleased as punch with this product. I have a good feeling I'm going to be using this for a long time coming and if their MicroSD cards are anything to go on? I have nothing to worry about when it comes to this NVMe drive's durability and performance.

    I've bought 3 of these and added 12TB of storage to my new build. Finally able to get off spindle/2.5" drives and upgraded to all NVME drives for my build. For a 4TB drive, this is a nice deal I think. Speeds are good enough for just about any use case. Works good for gaming as well. Nice pick up if you just need some extra hard drive space on your laptop/computer.

    Ok. So here’s the deal. I used it for my steam deck. So. I’m speaking to those that are going to use it for the steam deck. I had a 64GB SSD, and upgraded to this. I have LONGER battery life over OEM (about 45-60mins while playing cyberpunk 2077) and the load speeds seem about the same. Probably faster. But. Real world? I’d say about 3-4 seconds faster load times. Writing speed? I’d go with infinitely faster. I’ve downloaded from the steam store, probably 40 games now. Bunch to the SSD, and much more to the SD card. But. This one will save you time on those downloads.

    I have noticed that it doesn’t get as hot as quick with this either.

    So pros:
    - Easy install, look up on YouTube. But. 14 screws (8 for backplate, 3 for EMF shield, and one for SSD)
    - LONGER battery life over OEM (no idea compared to other SSD’s. But for the price. Totally worth it)
    - Doesn’t run as hot, as quick. Don’t get me wrong. During gaming sessions, it will get hot. But. Seems to get hotter, after more time than the OEM SSD

    Cons:
    - None.

    The only thing that was a royal pain, was copying original SSD to this. Since I tried the, reboot from the deck, and it didn’t work. I bought an external closure, and copied the files to the SSD, swapped them and bam. Worked.

    Great value. Easy install. Maxed out my steam deck.

    I've had this SSD for several months now, using it in my desktop PC daily. I don't know how much to really say about an SSD other than the fact that this SSD has been stone cold reliable, it offers great performance, and the price was exceptional.

    Be aware that this is by no means the fasted SSD that you can purchase. If your need is for ultimate performance, look elsewhere. Realistically, most people will never know the difference. However, if your need is for still very good performance and plenty of space at a budget price, then this is an SSD you should consider.
