After a couple of days of on the phone with Verizon and Apple and the Subaru dealer trying to connect a replacement iPhone 15 (I had a iPhone 13 that worked fine) to the CarPlay, I ordered this cord and it started working asap. Even though there was a similar cord with type C to USB properties I had tried , I realized I needed the 2.0 and nothing higher would work!Wish this answer could have been clearer in all the community conversations and help locations I sought out! In end it was a simple solution but one that isn’t highlighted in descriptions so hoping this will help others!!!

Got a new phone that needs USB-C plugs. These seem to work really well in my old chargers. The phone charges fast and the long cord length gives you options. Price point for 2 cords was excellent.

I have a USB-C which does not have data wires (charge only). The box on this cable does not say this carries data, only charge. I tested with over a GB of assorted images and videos. It is a very good data cable! I clocked about half the theoretical rate, as would be expected for small files (overhead) and two hubs.
