This guide will give you insight into the 2013 Spooky Crates. It will give you information about how to obtain them and what you can expect to find within.

The 2013 Spooky Crates can be obtained randomly through the item drop system and by trading with other users. You can either make a post on the official TF2 trading forum or join a trading server. Additionally you can look at some of the community driven trading websites below.

Whenever you use a third party website for trading always practice safe browsing habits; Steam Support has a great article on this which can be found here. You can also follow some of these tips to avoid being taken advantage of or scammed by dishonest users.

The following items can be obtained by uncrating a Series 74 Spooky Crate. To unbox this crate you'll need a Spooky Key from the Mann Co Store. Common drops from the Spooky Crate will be of the Haunted quality and can be sold and purchased on the Steam Community Market.

Haunted quality items from this crate can only be used during in-game events such as Halloween and on a Full Moon.





Tuque or Treat is a cosmetic slot item for all classes.




Medimedes is a cosmetic slot item for the Medic. Equipping this hat will unlock special voice lines.




Chicken Kiev is a cosmetic slot item for the Heavy. Equipping this hat will unlock special voice lines.




Sir Shootsalot is a cosmetic slot item for the Sniper. Equipping this hat will unlock special voice lines.




Freedom Feathers is a cosmetic slot item for the Soldier. Equipping this hat will unlock special voice lines.




Mann-Bird of Aberdeen is a cosmetic slot item for the Demoman.




Magical Mercenary is a cosmetic slot item for all classes. Equipping this hat on any class will unlock special voice lines.




Hard-Headed Hardware is a cosmetic slot item for the Pyro.




Cryptic Keepsake is a cosmetic slot item for all classes.




Pocket Horsemann is a cosmetic slot item for all classes.

Accursed Apparition is a cosmetic slot item for all classes.




Alternative Medicine Mann is a cosmetic slot item for the Medic.




Archimedes the Undying is a cosmetic slot item for the Medic.




Carious Chameleon is a cosmetic slot item for the Sniper.




Polly Putrid is a cosmetic slot item for the Demoman.




Lieutenant Bites the Dust is a cosmetic slot item for the Soldier.




Enchantment: Eternaween is a tool which when used will enable Halloween/Full Moon items on a server for a short period of time.




Uncrating any series of Supply Crate will give you the rare chance of getting an Unusual hat. The Spooky Crates are no exception. The hat is completely random however the particle effect will be a 2013 Scream Fortress exclusive.
