extremely addictive. fun to play, easy to play, hard to master. worth it. specially useful when you are bored somewhere with limited space and only have your notebook.

The game is fantastic but NOT for all the reasons trumped by Bethesda. There is no real space exploration, and you do not really fly the ships. It is a fast travel mechanism. However. Once you land somewhere, the attention to detail and carefully written plots are very engaging and allow for fun rpg moments. And the surface combat missions are challenging and fun. The weapons feel great and each one feels very different. Hunting the rare ammo all over the galaxy can be a little tedious, encouraging semi cheating with sleeping outside ammo stores for 3 days to buy more. Combat in space is not so fun. The spaceships maneuver like fat luxury cruise liners whose movment is controlled by tug boats. There are perks yo u can get to improve this but it never rises to the fun level. makes it worse that once in combat there is no way to run away. It is either kill them all and survive or reload a save before the fight. So save often. But seriously the dumb game is a lot of fun even so,. Though all the fun parts are in the surface. Docking in starbases is a novelty, and breaks up the space dumbness. To hammer the point, think of the space travel as connect the dots. You cannot just go in any direction you want. It is not a fps game though. The combat is slower , but like in skryim can be tckled using environment and situations. Crafting is confusing, there are too many ingredients in the world. I think I have crafter like 2 things. Not investing carefully in key skills as game progresses will close paths in the quests or only let you half solve them. Anyhows, 38 hours into the game and loving it, albeit not for the reasons advertised. "if you see it, you can go there does not apply in starfield".

I voted yes because there is no option for "Depends". I rand the game a 6.

The game is scripted and very linear. When it is time to bring back a Sorak head if you cannot finish that mission the game is over. There is no going back to make your character stronger and attack again. Similarly, when visiting a store you will see magic items whose price are out of reach since the gold you find is part of scripted events. Yes, there is randomness here and there but the game still proceeds on rails that will not veer.

So who is this for? If you are a player who enjoys D&D gameplay and want a computerized version, then this game is an 8. You will have fun. Plays like the board/desk version. Has the feel of the board/desk version. Tremendous love has been poured in the game and the attention to detail is astounding. My utmost respect to the developers.

If you like open games where you can go anywhere and come back later and do quests as you see fit, like in Skyirim, Witcher, Elder Scrolls online, then this game is barely a 6. Maybe even a 5. You will enjoy the novelty at first but will get a cold icy shower when you realize how few options you really have as far as progression. This game is NOT a sandbox.

I finished the Sorak head quest, but that is as far as I go. I am not having fun playing this, I am in the second camp that enjoys open games where I can go anywhere and try anything.

Try and get the game on a sale. It is still worth experiencing the fruits of people that so clearly care about the game they make.

The game is its own thing. Its not Lost Ark, It is not Diablo. Its fun though, and its plot is as good as any other of its type. It is well balanced and great way to pass time . Helps me relax while visiting people I do not want to really talk to.

Addicting. Like it when I played it in korean, understanding not a word. Much more now in english. By the way, it is not pay to win. You can play beginning to end for free, highly recommend.

The game is fun and worth playing, though some of the puzzles require teenage reflexes and are hard on aging hands.

Pure trash. Gameplay is trash. Play 27 minutes, pre-ordered. Will NEVER pre order a game again. Total ripoff.
