it's nice to have an RPG that feels like a deconstruction of the genre without being *about* the fact that it's a deconstruction of the genre

RPGs are innately weird as a vessel for storytelling because their protagonists are alien-brained kleptomaniacs with no knowledge of the world they were born into, so the game embraces this as the conceit of a bigger plot that ends up being a very good detective story on the whole

halo 2 isn't really that good but the rest of em are ok

you will never find a game whose whole is so much greater than the sum of its parts

it becomes so easy to immerse yourself in the grime and filth of the aesthetic and the frantic, borderline desperate gameplay loop if you just let it infest your brain a little bit

let it hurt you, just a little, and it will let you hurt whatever you want

i cried at the end of broken reality and i still can't put it into words

innovative and visually impressive point and click adventure game but all puzzles are solvable by the same combination of USE sword ON dinosaur

you punch bullets to make them go faster, and the fact that that concept doesn't make me want to roll my eyes means the game is doing something right

also the audio and visual design is sick and if you don't like it you can go into cybergrind mode and use your own damn assets if you think you're so talented

better than people say, worse than it wants to be, stinky when it sweats too much
