It has potential.
The control are confusing, and feels as limiting as sims4 without the cheats. While it's nice to have a game dedicated just for building homes and rooms without buying tons of overpriced DLC for furniture, this game frustrated me pretty quickly.
There should be an option to toggle clipping restraints, and for freely rotating furniture and clatter. as there isn't an AI character trying to navigate the build, the restrictions don't make sense.
You can't put kitchen cabinets against walls which is very frustrating. Rotating anything onto a wall that is not straight is a nightmare.

All that being said i don't want to leave a negative review for a game with potential to appeal to sims builders who'd like something refreshing, this is a very appealing concept for a game.

For a WIP game, this is promising. The furnishing menu feels a little unintuitive as the preview images are quite small, but I do like the customizable colors and from my first look at the game, it can definitely thrive with some tweaks. I would also recommend adding a way to place multiple of the same object in one go rather than having to pick the object again.

Good demo with promising features, but it certainly has some key things missing. For example, the limits for placing furniture are definitely too broad (the one that annoyed me the most was not being able to place furniture where a window's shutters were). It's possible there's a cheat code to work around this, but I haven't looked into it. The item selection is also rather small and I do wish the walls were sorted. The interface is also small making it hard to read for someone with poor eyes, such as myself, so that would be a useful accessibility setting to have.

However, the building was intuitive (with the exception of roofing, which I believe was glitched for me, so I won't speak on that). I very much enjoy the concept of a plain wall that can be changed with a color wheel. The art style is very nice and I'm not normally a person for realism. As a whole, it seems like it will shape up to be a good game, but I'd wait a bit if you're a hardcore builder. If you're more casual and don't have expansive plans, however, give it a try! It was a fun experience.

Absolute jank. Spent half an hour trying to build an outdoor path, failed.
Yes, I know that there is a path tool, however it is simply too limited. It only lets you place a narrow line which cannot be wider than 2 tiles. I wanted an arbitrary rectangle. The other option is to build "invisible walls", which is exactly as janky as it sounds.
Then the editor crashed because apparently it doesn't work without internet connection. Cool. I get that it's supposed to be a demo for an online game but this is the demo for the build mode.
When I opened the editor again, I failed at yet another task - building a roof. According to the "tutorial", roofs are supposed to have arrows you can drag to redefine their shape. They do not. Therefore, changing the shape of the roof was completely impossible.
Then the editor gave me yet another error; this time it insisted that I couldn't edit anything because someone else was already editing. It is worth noting that I did not share my "town code" with anyone at all.
Assuming that the full release will function similarly to this demo, I do not recommend it to anyone at all. Instead, you should consider more enjoyable activities, like eating broken glass, playing "the Sims 4", or impaling yourself with rusty nails.
