2) what does valve have to do with it
You have no patience. You have to wait 358/2 days.
I wanted to buy these 3.5 games
Very poor port to PC.
7000 series amd gpu?
idk I never use amd gpu
but do have a cpu that is amd
also this doesnt say which games are hurting
all of them?
I read 1 has the most issues then 2 then 3 with the least
again its odd the store isnt listing the proper price
so its about 20$ a game or so
2 per pack ish
20$ vs 50 per game
idk mate
what do you mean it wont work at all?
like wont start?
and which one?
also note
everything is a bad port to pc these days
but i can live with most issues
but not starting sounds more hw specific and OS
if you have win 11
id sugget not using that
or geforce experience/now
post back i really do want to play
although I have all of them on console
So let me break it down
2.8 and 3 runs pretty much flawlessly regardless of system.
1.5 and 2.5 is a whole other can of worms
Rdna 3
This includes the rog ally and the amd 7000 series gpus is a flat out nope
Rest is very much miles may vary.
Some nvidia users if locking the game to 30fps forcing vsync and turning off gsync manage to postpone their crashes to around every 40 minutes of gameplay.
So far does the most stable experience for kh 1.5 and 2.5 seem to be RDNA 2 Gpus in a Linux environment.
(Coincidentally what the steamdeck is as well )
And amds rx6000 series gpus
and amd ryzen 9 cpu * which apparently the game hates idk?
plenty of vram and mem
but this isnt the issue I suppose..
I dont have access to run a linux hybrid atm
moving every year
takes its toll
Nah the game doesn't need all that much it runs on the steamdeck which is a potato in comparison, it's if I'm guessing more likely related to a memory error / violation rather than a leak just eating up excess vram.
I've never before experienced a crash so bad it outright corrupted my gpu drivers on Windows and required me to completely clean out and reinstall my gpu drivers.
odd
I havent seen that since
uhm
dlc2 of new colossus wolfenstien, and urm
cyberpunk v1.002992392490 before that..
what os do you run?
and this is scary
as those are the main 2 id play first
only have 2 weeks to test all 5 games
its like uhmm..
how would I know?
does the crashing happen once or often in game or before etc
im so lost..
i can emulate the darn dvd I have in the living room to play it
but doesnt look as polished
ughhh
lemme know
danke nyx
As for frequency i guess I got around 5 minutes of playtime before I attempted to save and it basically went full black.
This was on Windows 11 with everything up to date.
I also attempted on nobara Linux, where I got a similar crash using the newest mesa, but unlike on Windows it was all good again after a forced reboot.
As for emulation, the pc port is a different game it was developed based on the ps4 port mostly by epic games, so while it's similiar it can't really be compared with the console versions.
However the golden thread in my case was the attempt of trying to save within the game.
I'm running kingdom hearts 3 without any issues whatsoever it's exclusive to the first games.
That said it seems to only be rdna 3 gpus that got it this bad.
Nvidia and other cards on Windows is just experiencing more general purpose crashing where it seems the golden bullet for the game is rdna 2 on Linux and your game will run like butter
I've toyed with the idea of trying "steamdeck" mode on Linux as a you essentially emulate the steamdeck gpu in doing so and see if that somehow magically gets around the problem.
It’s probably because they have no employee left who are doing it properly. Nowadays companies have only that much much people working for them which are necessary needed. Also devs are already working on other projects at Square Enix. So finding a employee who has also the necessary PC bug fixing skills are not easy. Especially for games which got released over 3 years ago for PC and now re released on a different Store is not the main focus for SE. They just updated the games for Steam Deck which was just changing the resolution of some pictures to have it properly working on Steam Deck no really skill is needed for that stuff. Also they stopped it for KH 3 it’s still not updated for Deck Steam DB SHOWED they have worked on it but got stopped working lol.
seems more like OS issues plus a port that wasnt tested on that os
ever
hence the deck working
they tried that
but no
not win 11
so if i get these, basically none will work ?
or at least 3 of 5 of them?
sad ..
confused
